GDT: Oilers @ Jets 5PM MT

This doesn’t seem like an overly inspired effort by the Jets but still an impressive showing for a severely undermined group. However I’d expect the Jets to come out strong and try to win with a 20 minute effort.
Teams are dressing basically split squad lineups. Reminds so much of exhibition.

We had possession on the PP in their zone. Play is blown dead and it significantly f***s over the Oilers. It’s the risk that comes with blocking shots.

What’s to stop players from just staying down every time they block a shot on the pk then?
I agree, I'm just talking about the risks of letting the play continue. He didn't get up for a good 10 seconds or so, it wasn't like he was down temporarily.

In any event, it worked out for the Oilers so I'm good.

In his last 11 games (incl this one) Rico has 9pts.

I think we all expected more from him this season, but he has been getting brutal deployment and the lowest minutes of his career. We lose a couple guys, and he gets a minutes bump and and he is producing again.

Glad to see him and some of the others seize the opportunity.

Ehh he didn’t seem that at risk to me though. If he was down in front of the net or something and shots were getting blasted his direction I could maybe see it. Or there was blood or a head shot or something.

Yep worked out for us tho. Lets go!

How does Bob think skinners starts gm1? Picks on fire- - gets LA game tomorrow - I have to think unless he shits the bed it's Calvin's net to start.

Ya I've shit on his play a few times this year for being a disappointment but he can be a huge key to this team in the bottom 6 in the playoffs and I'll eat a huge plate of crow if he turns his year around and has a solid playoffs.

I admit Skinner-McDavid-Brown finding some chemistry has me feeling a little better going into the playoffs.

Lets you have Drai and Hyman together as a bigger combo, and maybe bring back Podz-RNH-RV as you're 3rd line. Henrique can round out the Drai line until Fred or Kane ready for top 9 min.

Skinner-McDavid-Brown
Henrique-Drai-Hyman
Podz-RNH-RV
Janmark-Kapanen-Perry

Even with all their injuries, that isn't a bad forward core if McDrai are producing.

Drai and Hyman probably wouldn’t work and it’d probably frustrate the hell out of Drai in the process.
