Well, Calgary is now only 3 points back on Colorado with three games in hand. So it's hard to say who we'll get no matter the placement.

Flames are just a few points behind LA now as well. Might win our division and play LA first round again anyhow. Flames are in a good spot for them, zero pressure, as every other team ahead of them in the west has high expectations of making playoff noise, and the pressure that comes with that, while the Flames are playing with house money, with no external expectations whatsoever.

Man, that is so fuvked...win the division and you are playing 1 of 2 contenders...2nd place at least would get you likely LA
Colorado didn’t look very good when we played them and since then they’ve traded Rantanen. I don’t expect that to go over well in the locker room and I wouldn’t be surprised if they went into a free fall and missed the playoffs. I think we’ll be just fine winning the division and playing whoever does just enough to grab a wild card spot.

I’m using the entire history of the presidents trophy. You’re the one who is manipulating the data.

And even then, 2 out of 19 still completely disproved the myth of a presidents trophy curse being real.
While I want to go on the road for as few rounds as possible, I feel like we are a better road team than home team. Division champions is good enough.

Gotta laugh. Fans disappointed in team effort and goaltending, but also take first in the division.

Oilers consistently winning but have obvious flaws. Hope it doesn’t take a turn in the playoffs.

I mean to be fair there were obvious flaws with the team that made it to the finals last year as well, goaltending, finishing etc

Skinner #1 steals his second game of the year!

Juggernaut!

Drai hits empty net posts for breakfast….he wants the Lady Byng as well….

Y’all are way too superstitious. This team should be trying to gain every advantage that they can get.

Absolutely. If this team had more home ice advantage in the 2024 playoffs we would most likely be looking at another Stanley Cup banner in the rafters. It is critical to have that advantage in the playoffs, especially with our great fan base.

Good to know that this team is fully capable of lowering their defenisve game to the level of the opposition.
Just brutal defenisvely but good for S Skinner for stepping up.
His best game since the Boston game.

I have also never seen a team that blows more Grade AAA chances...including open nets...more than this team.
This actually isnt funny anymore...its a problem. Not properly bearing down during those chances IMO is a legitimate issue in many of their losses. Its not so much that they get goalied its more about the players not properly bearing down.

On a positive note...Kulak was solid again against Buffalo and he might just be the best bottom pairing dman in the NHL. He is such a valuable player for this team as he can seemlessly move into a top 4 role (on his off wing no less) and still be solid whenever its necessary.
He is an unsung hero for this team.

Really nice to see the boys pass Vegas in the standings and sit on top of the Pacific.

There is no team that doesn’t have flaws or doesn’t have games like the oilers did it’s the NHL

No, Presidents trophy is a bad omen...I will be happy with first in division or conference.
Bad omens don’t exist that’s silly
