We obviously can't change the coach but the team needs something. They are not committed out there, defensively they are all over the place, lines keep changing, can't get a save, etc.....

I don't know how to fix this or what they need, but something needs to change.

They have to go all in for a goalie, this will get them going again...I don't care if it's fair or not.

Well... I would be lying if I told you that having to score board watch Oilers hockey games hasn't helped made me a happier person.

Here is the vast majority of our “secondary scoring”. Not only is our goaltending atrocious but we are back to square one where we have some of if not the worst secondary scoring in the league. That wont win you many games.

Janmark - 1 goal in last 48 games
Brown - 1 goal in last 30 games
Podkolzin - 1 goal in last 18 games
Arvidsson - 1 goal in last 16 games
RNH - 1 goal in last 12 games
Henrique - 1 goal in last 12 games
Kapanen - 1 goal in last 11 games
Hyman - 1 goal in last 7 games

Take away Drai and Mc-D and its lottery team territory. No wonder these 2 guys look frustrated. That doesn't excuse some poor defensive play on their part(s) but the look of frustration is understandable.

No matter what happens in the next few months, the Oilers have a big job ahead in the summer. Of the guys you listed, only one (Podz) is a young player so there isn't much in terms of upward trajectory.

Jets fan here, yeah I definitely think you guys need a goalie at this point to make a deep run in the playoffs. If I was the GM, I'd make a call to Seattle and see if they were interested in making a trade, Skinner for Oleksiak, and have Seattle trade Grubauer to Utah for a pick or something. Then call Chicago and pickup Mrazek, I think he would be a solid pickup as he can play really well, just not behind a horrible team like the Hawks, plus they have Knight now.

It's not like McDavid has been anything to write home about for quite awhile. The whole team has been firmly on Drai's back.

Oilers had just as many breakaways, 2-on-1s, leaving guys all alone in slots...as the Ducks, the difference was Dostal made the those saves

The Ducks, much like the Flyers, made us look slow. This is a serious concern.

But hey, might as well blare the same things we've been talking about for years:

Goaltending

Still completely absent.

Honestly wish I was a fan that could watch and enjoy this team.

Management, coaching and players are so frustrating to watch.

Honestly feels like the window has closed on this team. Would require serious retooling. I don’t think Jackson and Bowman are upto the task.

You have to go back 36 games until you reach a point where the Oilers score at a higher rate at 5v5 with McDavid on the ice than without.
