Would be nice for Jeff Skinner to get more quality minutes and linemates with the way he's been playing. Wake tf up, Knoblauch. Guy should nowhere be near the dog house.

Also amazes me that VGK is once again full of Lady Byng worthy players. Officials kept their whistles in the whole f***ing night lol. Same old shit from this league when it comes to the golden child of bettman.
Skinner looked good tonight and we can’t buy a goal and Knob refuses to utilize him. Ridiculous.

Skinner named second star. What?

Hopefully more of these games can convince our management to get serious about a goalie.

The crew is talking about Skinner playing better lately, while he has a .890 save percentage. Since when is that considered good?

Edit: There is confusion by many, so to clarify. Skinners previous seven games before tonight. He faced 181 shots and saved 161, equaling .890 save percentage. His record is 5-1-1, but still only a .890

Not being able to score is a feature of this team.

And this league is incredibly boring to watch. The mandates make the product unwatchable.
The league doesn't want exciting hockey. The talent is watered down and you wouldn't want that random 4th liner who is only in the league because there are too many teams getting embarrassed...

Draisaitl was basically jumped on that faceoff at the end of the game and had his helmet ripped off. No call.

Liked the effort tonite…oilers deserved better

Wasn't only that. Henrique hauled down when Janmark sauced the puck to the net. Draisaitl hauled down minutes after and the ref literally waved them to play on. A team that had like 11-13 shots compared to 2-3 getting no f***ing PP in a period is just comical officiating.

Like it or not, that's a game 7. Game 7 style of officiating and VGK played a game 7 style of turtle mode. Still just can't generate quality looks, because they refuse to play greasy.

You cant give defensive teams a lead or else you will have to fight through them sitting back and clogging lanes, that Draisaitl drop pass to Barbashev was exactly what you cant do against this team, and please for the love of god start setting up the Bouchard point shot when teams start collapsing against us like that.

I'm so sick of these. This same meter gave us a much more even chance against the Rangers even though we dummied them.
Expected goals are a bs stat and tell us nothing on their own. The deserve to win meter is a hacks tool.

The oilers lost this game because they had no finish and didn’t get in the hard areas. Not to mention Vegas knows how to stop us, sit between the circles and get sticks on passes, that neuters us 100% because all we do is look for a cross ice pass.

Two evenly matched teams engaged in trench warfare all night. We lost because our goalie made the first mistake. Vegas just sat back the rest of the night and defended, never even tried to score again after they took the lead. When the game was on the line Skinner cracked. How many times have we seen that before? Especially against this team.

Excellent game by the boys tonight but to me it felt like Game 7 of the Final last year.

When that weak one went in I just got the feeling that it was game over.

Anyway, playoff style match tonight and the guys played very well.
