“This is the best team I've ever been on,” Kapanen said Monday in Boston.

Shots fired at the trash Leafs. Hey I like this guy even more now.

This is an interesting nugget:
“During the summertime, I thought about coming here (as a free agent), and then I didn't. (Now) it’s change of pace, a change of scenery, and it feels like a perfect fit.”

We may have looked into Kap in the Summer?

Good depth player, kind of like a bigger RH version of Janmark.
Lots of good physical attributes. I saw him Saturday night and he's thicker than I expected. One big difference is Janmark's pilot light is always on which drives a high energy game and such strong, consistency and processor ability in all facets of the game. Kapanen has always had the strong toolkit but doesn't apply it consistently in his approach or play on-ice.

I really like him as a waiver wire pick-up. Lots of pedigree and utility in his game. He's probably positioned well to help support a deep, elite team versus being a team driver as once projected. Interesting that Kapanen was on the Oil radar this off-season but opted to run it back with St. Louis (gak).

I also think that Janmark has a bit more of a disturber element to his game.

I've liked the player, and did from the first instant but his play on the 3-1 goal last game caused him to be benched and miss some shifts. Was a very odd play, and unfortunately even though theres a lot of good in the player its plays like that, I wonder if they've been his undoing elsewhere. Didn't see enough of him to see whether it was. Player has always had talent with puck and some strength on it. That he is pk as well was a nice surprise.
