What was Ekholm saying to Kapanen after that goal he assisted on? Looked heated. CBC crew were speculating it was either complimentary or Ekholm was pissed about something earlier in the play

I didn't think it looked heated at all myself. If that's what CBC crew said it seems like they might be making a mountain out of a mole hill.

They were of 2 thoughts - either giving him grief over that earlier play or telling him”keep doing what your doing and good things will happen”, as a firm, hard type reinforcement. Hard to really know.

4 trashcans, pretty good. I don't watch much of these intermission shows McLean and Principe ruin them for me. I don't mind Bieska and can handle some of Gazdic, used to like Botterill but not much anymore. Can't stand Friedman or McLean. But I"m saying all of this with it as background noise usually.

Looks like a player to me. Can skate. Has poise with the puck. Can pass and make plays. Waiver wire and 1M cap hit, can’t go wrong. Bowman just improved the team for free.

It is great to finally see a guy who plays like a football RB next to McDavid- no f***ing around, just take the puck and go. His ability to create lanes with look-offs and stutter steps is also a nice add to that line. Now if KK can learn to shoot teams will have to back off even more, so let's get him some lessons with Leon stat!

28, big, fast, just needs his confidence back. There's definitely some talent there. He just looks better and more efficient than Skinner or Arvidsson. The Oilers need guys who fit, are younger and fast, maybe even bigger, Not guys who have accomplished more, smaller, and older. We have enough guys with experience to lead them.

Yeah the mix hasn't been right so far this year. That said, it's not like the team hasn't been getting chances.

I just think if you put Skinner with two faster guys, he would start putting up better numbers. As would Henrique. But you play all of your old slow guys together, and it doesn't work. I think Kapanen and Kane will help a lot with the mix, hopefully.
