Not a fan of Marchand so no thanks.
Edit: Even though this is clearly a quality for quantity trade.

Bruins problem isn't depth, it's lack of high end talent.

No reason for Boston to make this trade.

It would be more like Draisaitl, Yakupov, pick for Marchand, Zboril.

Why not make this a quality for quality trade.

You trade us the player on your team who projects to be a 37 goal scorer! Boston will throw in a 4th rounder.

Brad Marchand + 4th round pick for Benoit Pouliot + Griffin Reinhart + Nail Yakupov + 2nd round pick.

How many posting are Oilers on page 1 ? Most aren't bad but this one is a slam dunk win for the Oilers . I also don't see Boston dealing with Edmonton for a while

Marchand is a heart and soul player for the Bruins and scores big goals . Don't see Bruins touching this,

Edmonton Canada
Brad Marchand + 4th round pick for Benoit Pouliot + Griffin Reinhart + Nail Yakupov + 2nd round pick.

value could be interesting for both teams... but theres no way to make the contract work for Edmonton... they cant be adding another 6-7 mill forward when they have so much work to do on their blueline.

and theres no way this deal makes sense unless marchand is resigning...

as for boston though... I kind of like this deal quite a lot. reinhart and yakupov are clearly wildcards... both developing slower than expected. pouliot is no where near marchand as far as a player goes... but pouliots contract sort of makes sense for a rebuilding team.

I suppose if Edmonton was planning to deal eberle for a dman it might make more sense to get marchand but right now Edmonton has McDavid, Hopkins, lucic, eberle, draisailt and probably the new kid all slotted to be making 6 mill per year and more come 3 seasons from now... a 7th guy at that type of money just doesn't make sense

I don't know what made me laugh harder, the OP, or your post.

Yakupov is toast, Pouliot is a scrub, and Reinhart = Morrow.

The equivalent Bruins package is Jimmy Hayes, Joe Morrow, Koko. Let's go try to peddle that package for another teams 37 goal scorer.

It's funny that you brought this up, when I was reading this I thought about how Khokhlachev outperformed Yakupov a lot of the time when they played together at the worlds. Good comparison.

Didn't Boston run Pouliot out of town once already?

No they didn't run him out of town. He in fact was a good player while he was a Bruin. They just didn't want to resign him. Edmonton had to over pay to get him. Don't know why but.....

He was just OK and the Bruins didn't miss him at all. He's an average 3rd lime winger. Not someone we'd trade Marchand for.
