Feels good. Have to watch the highlites of this game.

Skinner with a 0.927......That last goal was brutal, but he's still cooking...

Pretty much blowing out Minny and then Vegas. Can it get any better? Just need to do the same to FLA

SOme of it had to have been score effects, but Vegas is very good at just getting pucks to the front of the net. Skinner had to battle a lot. Just need guys to help and clear some rebounds and it's good.

I haven't watched the game yet, but I will be on the lookout for that comparison. With Vegas D I think they are supreme in their adherence to the system, and they are built to play that system to a tee. Bruce Cassidy knows his zone D, and that's great, but so do we. And if we can match them on that front but bring more focus and execution on playmaking from our D, we can surpass them for sure.
Our D making smarter higher percentage outs, working better as tandems, boxing out better, cleaning up lose pucks better, taking guys out better and just generally being stronger and harder around the net.

The best D in this game were Ekholm, Nurse, Booch, Emberson in no particular order. Saw lots of plays from all those and lots of jumps from Stecher who looked like a forward again. Drai has 3 wingers to play with now, NICE! ;)

It's crazy knowing we still have Kane and Arvidsson coming.

I don't want to touch the 2nd pair. Bring in a guy like Matheson to play with Emberson/Stetcher in the playoffs. He can move up if there's injuries.

Bring in a 2 way C who can play 3 or 4 line.

The way our top guys are playing this year, and NURSE.... let's go for it again!

Knob and Coffey. Not to limit how instrumental Coffey has been in implementing where D do much more with puck to get zone outs and transition. More expectation on more D to make breakout plays. That and the good jumps into offense means it often looks like we have more players on ice. The D are being so effective and such a huge part of this club. All of them. This is the best D performance found anywhere in the league and Coffey has them have their own Lunch spot in the room and the only forward thats been allowed to sit with them is Draisaitl. hmmm.

Coffey is elevating D on the ice and in the room. D are cool. D are bosses. Its the message. Works perfectly with KK's solid Clare Drake type game plan and the forwards buying into responsible play and the best back pressure you find in the league right now.

We're playing Golden Bears hockey but with generational skill on ice.

I don't think there's more expectations on the D to make plays on the breakout, it's just going from Ceci and Vinny to Stecher and Emberson is a massive step forward.

Last year everyone and their grandma knew the breakout on the lower two pairings were going through Nurse and Kulak. It was slow and predictable. This year all 6 are able to make plays with the puck, and more importantly Kulak and Emberson are both wizards at retrievals, with the ability to turn the puck up ice before the forecheck has a chance to get near them.

Life is better with no expectations.

Emberson, some quiet wow plays today. Guy is so solid. On one own zone pass from a D it missed him by 10ft. he calmly jumps, brings the puck down with his blade like nothing, and calmly plays the out. This guy does so much that is calm reliably play and even under duress. How good is this guy gonna get? Credit to management for finding this one.
I was thinking the same. There’s a real player here. Also brings more physicality than I expected.

There was panic in the streets going into the start of the season.

Honestly I don't know what the plan will be for the deadline right now. With Kulak and Nurse lights out I think the target might be a solid third pairing LHD which is probably the cheapest option out there. But who knows if it will look the same two moths from now.

Today’s game pleased me. Stu looking like an all star before that bad puck player. Our defence is trustworthy which is humungous big.

I’m indifferent on the reffing and I think the Oilers bench is too. They know how it goes against a Betman team.
