Flames had the Oilers by the balls when they tied the game up, but the stupid penalty just ruined it. Special teams... bad.

Oilers aren't very impressive with or without McD.

Losing to the Oilers will always sucks. Rebuilding or not. That brutal Pospisil penalty sealed the deal tbh

I don't think the loss is the fault of the penalty. I think it's the string of five errors in a row that led to the goal against that are to blame. The Flames were handling the PK just fine until the clearance was thrown right at Ekholm, and everything from there on was a slow-motion train wreck. Didn't pressure him in the right direction, allowed Draisaitl time and space to make a play when he literally couldn't go anywhere, didn't sense where the danger was and ultimately let a breakaway happen from a position where the Oilers should've been forced to regroup.

Really just gave this game away, hate that . At least make them earn it FFS.

Some good some bad

Liked to see Sharangovich score, thought he put in a nice performance.
Kuzmenko was also real good despite not getting on the scoreboard. I don't know where he fits in this fwd group and I don't think Huska does either.
Weegar was good, didn't hate the 3rd pair or the 4th line.

Kadri really didn't get anything done other than draw a penalty.
Pospisil is just kind of lost. Think he could use some time on the 4th line.
Zary and Coronato were skating well but both took just a second or two too long on their decisions.

Did Zary get hurt or benched or something?
didn't see much of the 1st half of any periods but from the Mantha goal until a couple minutes into the 3rd I thought he had under 20seconds of ice time

Last game vs Edmonton he had 20:14 of ice this game he was down to 11:52
