I find Knoblauch confusing when he talks about J Skinner. The “things didn’t really go as well as we would of liked schtick”.

I don’t really have a problem with him sitting out in the playoffs. We have gotten guys back and we got a lot of bodies. The depth is playing well. Furthermore Florida probably isn’t an ideal series for Skinner and neither was LA and Vegas.

But I still don’t understand why he was deployed the way he was especially in the second half of the regular season. Knoblauch probably has his reasons but really its just baffling stuff.

My guess is that he re-signs on a very team friendly deal. It will be more than the $1M he made this year but maybe less than $2M. He seems to genuinely love playing for the Oilers.

This Panthers team is no joke with Marchand, Jones, and pretty healthy group that is the mostly the same as last year.

I think our depth can keep up but I do worry about Skinner. The Panthers are like the Kings on turbo mode and physical.

They are damn good

We can't get too down if we lose game one or split at home BUT the important thing is WE MUST split at home

I have a buddy like this, who is a fan of another team. He flys out to their games then just comes back. Goes to Superbowl every year as well, etc. Some of my cousins flew to FLA for last years games. This year they aren't.

He has two sets of Oiler seasons through his business. Loge and Center Ice. Just gives them away or goes to a few games. Still likes the Oilers because of his friends.

Rogers Place is a great arena in itself, and I'm fond of it because that's where the Bolts won a cup (only one we didn't win on home ice). But if the Oilers can win the cup on home ice, the Panthers losing a cup final there will make me like it all the more.
