Aaaahhhhh we're in the Finals again!

I've never been to a Cup Finals in person. I live in Toronto now but want to fly down for game 1 or 2 and take my dad (he lives in Edmonton).

Any suggestions on how to find affordable tickets?

Let's go boys!!!

Consecutive Cup Finals rematched have only happened 5 times in NHL history. In the second year of the rematch against the Islanders, the Oilers and Gretzky won their first Cup. When the Penguins did it, Crosby won his first Cup.

It is written.
Affordable? No. Memorable? Highly.

Last couple finals appearances we have had to have massive comebacks.

Hopefully the team can really be assertive the first couple games and get a lead

Painting my Toyota Tacoma this year. I said if Oilers win cup, I'm painting it Oilers Colors with Oilers decal on hood and Cups on tail gate. Any suggestions out there?

It's wild to me too. I think HF hasn't figured him out yet. Like nuge he does a lot of small things

If he came out, it would be noticeable, and with Hyman out, he has to play
The way I can best describe it…. Kane,Hyman, heck even arvi when they hit it’s right in the center of the screen. It’s highly visible and most people think if they see it , it must be more important. I get it.

When Fredrick hits, his hits are just out of frame a bit. Just as the Dman pushed up the puck and the camera has panned away. But you hear it and they are big punishing hits as well. Fredrick to me is like the Nuge of the 4th line. Not always flashy but doing the right things.

Bennett
Tkachuk
Marchand
PEDBlad

I don’t like these guys.
I hate them all and their fans. Like when the fuk did they get all this fan base. Ive been in that rink with less then 8000 people in there and 5000 were Oilers fans. Do they actually know anything about hockey? We need this win to shut them up and all the Oilers hater up. I got lots. Am I ever gonna be an asshole tonight to all the idiots in these parts who bad mouth the Oilers . This will be me tonight walking into my watering hole

This Panthers team is no joke with Marchand, Jones, and pretty healthy group that is the mostly the same as last year.

I think our depth can keep up but I do worry about Skinner. The Panthers are like the Kings on turbo mode and physical.
They lost montour who is better than jones. Our D, depth and maturity are far better this year. This oil team is no joke

I agree, Kapanen should be the one coming out (even after his legendary series winning OT goal be Vegas), he’s the weakest forward and the fancies bear that out.

But Knob really likes the player and his speed and physicality will likely keep him in
Kapanen had the highest TOI after McDrai and Nuge last night. He is the Hyman replacement for Knob and isnt getting scratched against a gritty team like FLA.

Frederic is the weakest link up front but will be relied upon for his grit so he isnt coming out either.

It will be Arvidsson or Skinner who come out for a healthy brown based on ice time allocation and their lack of size. A good problem to have.

We're back in Florida's swampy town again. Can't wait to smell all the Shreks down there once more.

Oh and don't forget their "Stanley Cup parade" for their MASSIVE fan base of 100 people:

Their fanbase seems big on HF because it includes 5 million people from Finland. And then like 60 dudes from actual Florida.

IMO this is the best d-corps Edm has ever had, by far, now that we have both Walman and Ekholm in the lineup. Usually there's at least one guy who you'd rather not have on the ice for 20 minutes but I don't know which Oiler d-man couldn't handle more icetime, and we can't even get Stetcher in right now.

It really, really sucks having Hyman injured, but the Oilers are the only team in the NHL with a 29-97 combo, and I don't think that Fla's fwds outwork or outsmart Podkolzin, Nuge, Janmark, Arvidsson, Brown, Henrique, etc.

Our top fwds don't get shut down the same way that the Leafs and Canes fwds do. I don't think Fla has seen a team as good as this year's Oilers team in any of their playoff runs.

While I agree that this is the best defensive core in a long while I don't think it is the best ever. But your main point stands. This core does not really have a weak link.
