I'm not familiar with Zach Hyman's family situation. Wasn't his dad some wealthy guy who bought a GTHL team to give his kids a place to play? Where did he make his fortune?
Also, what does this mean for the Bulldogs?
Yes and he also somehow bought himself 70 goals last season, so he probably spend all his salary, and asked dad to give him a couple of millions extra to bribe goalies coaches players officials, and of course Bettman got his fair share, so no one would know that he actually cant play hockey, he cant even skate! Hes not actually playing the games at all, its a guy from Russia with his face, its a secret, dont tell anyone...Zach Hyman buying his way into the NHL some more (/s)
On topic. That sounds great, Hyman seems like a great guy, someone who can be good rolemodel for kids, and ge probably will be involved hands on, i could be totally wrong about him, i dont know him, but thats my impression.
Not really all that different from every other player. Hockey isn't a cheap sport. The most a father like that could do is "buy" their kid's way into Junior A, but that's still a huge way from getting a sniff into the NHL.You can definitely argue that Zach Hyman would never have gotten a sniff at the NHL if not for his father.

Yeah, i actually went little goofy, I thought I wrote that i said that hymans dad did what every father would do to get his son the best opportunity, but not everyone has these kind of resources. You can definitely argue that Zach Hyman would never have gotten a sniff at the NHL if not for his father.
But even if so Hyman has 100% made the most of that opportunity on his own. He scored 50 goals last year - his father didn't help him with that.

Somehow that dissapeared, or i wrote it somewhere else.
I should know more about the situation in all seriousness, i didnt planned to write all that it just was my imagination running wild. Sry guys
Looks like the team will be staying in Brantford. Which is unfortunate, and rather foolish.Hyman played Junior A in Hamilton and grew up in Toronto so I think the Bulldogs stay where they are. There isn't really anywhere to move them to, they've already been in Hamilton and moved onto to Brantford.
OHL may also be absorbing at least two USHL teams, possibly more so until that's all decided I don't know if they'll be open to relocating any teams.

I'm not sure if this is the Hyman family's decision or if the team wouldn't be permitted back into FirstOntario Centre. Word is that the group that manages and is renovating the arena have an AHL franchise lined up to be their main tenant, as well as the Toronto Rock who have stated they will return when the renovations are complete.
I'd prefer an OHL team to an AHL team....at least with the OHL pretty much every player wants to be there (save for a few NHL draft returnees). Stability might be better with the AHL though.
