Imo we still don't look as good as we should. We need better consistency on defense and better goaltending.

The record isn't bad but we should be near the top, not fighting for a wild card

I think we don’t look as good as we should because of our PP and offense.

Goaltending is about the same as always. Inconsistent and frustrating.

I'm somewhat hopeful that the special teams have turned it around.

Skinner is a very streaky goalie so maybe he can catch fire soon

The Arvid injuries start. Day to day but looks like Kenny already getting killed out there. Wonder who Drai gets today other than goal less Joe Podkolzin. Leading producer, goal scorer on the team has been with the lowest production forwards on the team. Doesn't make sense but doesn't make cents.
Probably a rotation of Ryan, Perry, Janmark, and Brown.

?? No, he's just playing great hockey and making those around him better.
I was referring to the post discussing his wing being ripe for rotation. At least give him one of Skinner/Henrique and rotate crap through the fourth line. But hey, who knows. Maybe the auditions will render a new 2RW.

I have a bad feeling about tonight, history aside. It feels like the kind of game we don't take seriously enough (McPoints Chase, our/Drai's record against Nashville, dressing 11 F, etc.) and walk out of with a frustrating 2-1 or 3-1 loss.

Sure, it's not perfect, too bad Stan was too busy to call up Savoie or Pedersen, but it should be fine. The 3rd line has been great for the last couple of games, and the 1st line was great.

Odds are that Jeff Skinner will get the majority of that time.

National anthems….check.
Drop the puck…check.
Drai scores…McD assists….check.
Crowd goes nuts…..check.
Rinse and repeat.

Betting odds are actually against the Oilers, so its safe to say they really need to battle against Nashville but I believe in McD!

So the coaches know right? The Oilers won last game, they've won the last 2, but Skinner isn't starting tonight, and last game's performance is why.

You don't have to throw him away, but consistency is a concern.
I think it has more to do with Pickard playing well against NSH this year

They will let Skinner soil himself on National TV on SAT against Toronto
