You mean Andrei Altybarmakyan, right? Why do you think, he will be trhere? Isnt there any other special Russian guy?

I like the player, but it's 8 years away from now, I won't be surprised to see a dozen guys for a 4RW spot.

Bottom 6 and defense is pretty awful (for an international tourny)

D -> Do you understand that they'll play in 4 years? So 4 more years of experience.
Some guys are already 1D or 2D on their teams and the others are solid TOP 4 guys.

F -> It's not because they don't play in the NHL, that they are awful. (Gusev and Kaprizov). Radulov even at age 55 if he put a jersey on him, he'll give 200% of what he has. Than you have 2 very good C's with a lot of experience (Anisimov) and another guy who'll play top minutes in NY for 4 years. And then you have a 20 goal scorer as your 4RW, not bad.

How come every Finn have dropped Esa Lindell and Julius Honka from their lineup? Especially Lindell should be a lock.

WAs thinking the same thing... I understand Honka becasue Hitch isnt playing him and its reasonable to worry about his national outlook but Lindell is playing like a legit #2 defenceman on a team that is putting up some of the best defensive stats in the league.

Canada

Forwards

Lafreniere (21) - McDavid (25) - MacKinnon (27)
Marchand (34) - Crosby (35) - Bergeron (36)
Hall (31) - Barzal (25) - Stamkos (32)
Benn (34) - Scheifele (29) - Seguin (30)
HM: Tavares. Swapped Scheiefele with Barzal because I think Hall / Barzal would work better than Scheifele on that line.

Defense
Vlasic (35) - Doughty (33)
Ekblad (26) - Subban (33)
Morrissey (27) - Pietrangelo (32)
HM: Parayko, Tanev, & Rielly

Goalies
Murray (28)
Holtby (33)
Price (35)

Real no good upcoming Canadian goaltenders besides Murray that's young and Carter Hart I'm not sure if he'll be ready by the 2022 Olympics. The defense is hard to theorize considering how the recent drafts didn't really produce any high-end Canadian defenseman.

Edit: This team would be much more deadly if they had younger defenseman that were on the rise.

Dominik Kahun- Leon Draisaitl-Dominik Bokk
Tobias Rieder- Maximillian Kammerer-Frank Mauer
Tom Kuhnhackl- Manuel Wiederer- Brooks Macek

Overall the German team with or without NHLers will look entirely different in four years. All of the old generation players (Ehrhoff, Seidenberg, Goc) will probably be retired by 2022. This roster relies heavily on young players coming up (Bokk, Kahun, Wiederer, Sieder). I wouldn't be surprised if other young players will take roster spots away from some of the older DEL players aswell (Valenti, Stutzle, Fleischer, Eisenschmid, etc.). Germany has a lot of potential currently and could possibly have a very strong team in 2022.

I also find it funny that a potential 2022 German roster has better wingers for Draisaitl then what the Oilers have for him now.

This forward group is sexy as hell.

I think a key center prospect for Russia is Kamenev and I think he will be a good player. Is severely underrated.

Panarin - Malkin - Tarasenko
Gusev - Kuznetsov - Kucherov
Kaprizov - Kamenev - Svechnikov
Kalinin - Svetlakov - Buchnevich

Provorov - Voynov
Gavrikov - Sergachev

Crazy Teuvo isn't even considered as a 13th forward, he's 5th in points this season among Finnish players and on pace for more than 60, definitely deserves Puljus place at least if both players keep on developing the way they have had. Finland will have crazy depth in 2022 tho, this team might have 5 80 point players in Granny, Barkov, Rantanen, Laine and Aho. Tolvanen might be a great 30+ goal sniper, Vesalainen looks good and Julius Honka could be a great NHL level D as well. Kakko and Anttoni Honka might go top 10 in 2019 and they could be a strong impact although it's pretty early in their careers. Top D pair is fire and Juolevi and Välimäki are probably going to be better than Määttä. Can't really comprehend that we are about to enter the golden age of Finnish hockey after so many bad years at the NHL level.

My lineup:

Patrik Laine (24) - Sebastian Aho (25) - Mikko Rantanen (26)
Mikael Granlund (30) - Aleksander Barkov (27) - Eeli Tolvanen (23)
Teuvo Teräväinen (27) - Henrik Borgström (25) Kristian Vesalainen (23)

Juuso Välimäki (24) - Olli Juolevi (24)
Esa Lindell (28) - Henri Jokiharju (23)
Olli Määttä (28) - Julius Honka (27)
(Sami Vatanen (31) )
(Anttoni Honka (21) )

Saros (27)
Rask (35)
Kähkönen (26)

Edit: Added J. Honka

Even better. Goalies aside the Finns will be good.
Saros is good, really good. Just doesn't get that much ice time because Rinne is even better. Shame we had our best G depth when the quality of attackers and defenders was as bad as it was for this decade.

I thought long and hard between Teräväinen and Kakko but Kakko's potential made me choose him. Same thing with Pulju as I still have high hopes for him. Definetely a good problem to have all these talented young players

Mikko Rantanen - Aleksandr Barkov - Patrik Laine
Sebastian Aho(A) - Henrik Borgström - Teuvo Teräväinen

Huska? Tomek barely has a .900 SV% in the USHL, a league Huska was the Goalie of the Year in two years ago. Huska has put up two solid seasons in a row at UConn, and was the starter over Tomek for the WJC team.

Whoo. Tomek? that is a really optimistic scenario. But - Never say never.

Gaborík? He will be 40! Very high probability he will be already few year retired.
Zaborsky. He didnt make it now, i doubt he will make it in 4 years. With his attitude.
Granak will be 38.

But overall, your basic roster seems good. Except goalies. I have issue also with Halak.

Would be nice, if you could write also leagues, where the guys will be playing.

And Where is Zdeno Chara?

The best thing is that almost everyone (expect perhaps Rask) are still possible candidates at 2026. We will have our best team in paper in 2022, but even stronger at 2026 olympics.

EDIT: forgot Teräväinen, some line changes have been made.
Possible changes, if Granlund can’t handle center role.

That at least sounds very promising after so many dark years. But from what I see from Krejci now, I dont think he makes it in four years.

Just the defense is still weak. Hopefully Hajek and Hronek will live up to their potential. Hronek looks like a real deal and we finally might have a quality offensive D-man in him. I am a bit disappointed with Zboril though, was expecting more of him but he can still turn it around. Rutta with Jerabek still have to prove themselves in the NHL. And no new defensmen coming up much.

And about Krejci - I am also not entirely sold on him in four years, that's why I put him on the 4th line. However, I think there is still a good chance he could be somewhat effective in 35 years and he could be useful with his experience so I included him. But yeah, there are few nice prospects which could easily take his spot by that time.
