Offseason Trade Targets

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
I am putting 8 years and 88 million in front of DeBrincat and waiting for him to turn it down. I think that will be tougher for him to do than most think.

He is a part of the solution moving forward, guy is absurdly healthy and the best goal scorer we have had since we were a perennial contender.
I’m prefect my happy with this. Make him a letter too

Absolutely, I am even willing realistically to get to 96 million on that package with where the cap is heading. Keeping DeBrincat is important to me, he is not worth trading, I promise him this next part is going to go better than what has happened with Larkin and explain to him how behind closed doors. Not interested in flipping him and what it really means. That last guy lost the picture on hometown hero, but you're going to be the one with Mo and Lucas. Yzerman needs to sell this and he needs to win this negotiation and I don't mean monetarily we have some flexibility there. If he cannot get DeBrincat on board I really worry we are in a very grave position where Mo and Lucas requesting out is right around the corner.

It's not like we were some amazing team when he wanted to come here either. I could see him just wanting to be home.
I think it all depends on who we get and if he’s willing to wait to compete for a cup in 4-5 yrs depending if we’re lucky enough to get a high pick next year and add high end prospects and picks for future trades, some prospects become what we hope

I personally think he won’t want to stick around

I think Dallas could flip the assets through Robertson and some of what they have to get Larkin and Werenski. Harvey would have to go out, but that might explain how Dallas has vaulted on his list and even though they seem the Finnish destination that is actually where Werenski and Larkin are heading...

I could prove dead wrong in the next bunch of hours but Dallas, Anaheim and Detroit seem pretty natural for a three team combination. The GMs all get along to be working this out and keeping this pretty quiet.

Eric Francis, flames beat reporter, just said he believes a 4th round pick can get you Connor Zary.

I’d be pleased if we flipped that devils pick to Calgary.

I’d rather make a run at Morgan Frost. But that’s a different price point

If you roll the dice on zary then someone else is getting squeezed out and not getting a shit. We really need to unload some fodder this off season.

If this is what we do then Im perfectly fine with it. Yzerman just has not shown he is willing to take a chance on reclamation projects
