His comparisons were just bad logic though. Comparing a 23 year old puck controlling playmaker to 18 year old inside the dot more 2way guys is silly.
If some say he is a 1st liner and should be in next years top six, there have to be comparisions to get an understanding. If that said 22 year old couldn't make a Top 6, I doubt 18 year old Reichel can. To make the Top 6 out of the DEL, a player has to dominate in Germany to stand a chance.
It was about the context of a DEL player making it. No matter what style they play, they have to be impact players every shift.

Reichel will make it to the NHL, but every 1st rounder shouldn't just make it. That's the point I always wanted to say.

Is it just me, or are Strome’s legs remarkably skinny? I don’t just mean relative to other hockey players either.

It looks like someone sliced off his calves haha.

I bet I'm a faster and more explosive skater than Strome. At 41. His build is WTF for a hockey player.

P.S. His dog is awesome.

Subject to change several thousand times by the start of the season, at which point the counter will be reset and subject to change another several thousand times by the end of the season.

My 8 year old has thicker legs.
Remember Patty Kane? First pitch at Wrigley his first or second year. Those thighs aren’t too impressive, and calves are ok at best. Still was very quick though.

To follow up my reply, De haan played 18:37 min on average last year. Those were hard minutes usually playing with learning youngsters.

he was super meh but de haan at 17 min a game with a better partner is good imo

Bubba is the guy who has eternal priapism for Marcus Kruger. I don’t believe much of anything about what he says regarding player evaluation.
I was wrong about his offense translating to NA, but he was a really good player and his play helped the Hawks for many years. Q did agree with that and the tough matchups.

I f***ing miss Kruger here and still wait for his replacement on the roster.

At least I didn't think he sucks and shouldn't be in the NHL during that time. That was bad evaluation.

you know its the dog days of the offseason when we're critiquing strome's build based on a hawks marketing video...gotta be close to time to fire up the 71 page alex nylander thread
I'd still critique those generational chicken legs in mid January. Fry them puppies up and Seabrook would eat both legs in one sitting.

De Haan should be fine in his lesser role now.
What lesser role? Keith is gone, McCabe won't fill Keith like LD monutes. Stillman or Kalynuk/Beaudin/Caleb might take some bigger LD minutes than last year but I don't see how CDH if playing is in a clear lesser role

He centered the “Two and a Half Men” line. To be fair, I did bump it (for awhile) to 2 and 3/4 when he scored the triple OT winner against the Ducks.

hard to think that Stan and Mark; brought Borgstrom over to be a 4C...

pretty sure you will see him a bit higher in the lineup for the most part.

A third line of Hagel-Johnson-Kurashev could be really good against weaker opposition lines. Skinny on TJ from the bolts fans I have connected with is that we would be wise to play him at C, he is much better than on a wing. Word is if playing C with two speedy wingers is best for TJ, dont think you could have two faster wingers on the hawks than Hagel and Kurashev...
