What the Faulk
You'll know when you go
Reminds me of the Luke DeCock tweet(s) from a few days ago (the draft?) where he was also basically ******** on Francis for not making a trade, as if it doesn't take two parties to agree to a deal.
Is Kruger over-slotted at 3C?
Is Kruger over-slotted at 3C?
I knew that Kruger was relied upon for defensive duties, but I have to say I was genuinely surprised to see these kind of numbers.
2013-14 23 CHI NHL 81 902.9 773 724 51.6 -7.8 575 510 53.0 -6.4 7.7 92.1 99.8 20.9 79.1
2014-15 24 CHI NHL 81 873.4 839 760 52.5 -1.8 606 549 52.5 -0.6 4.6 93.6 98.2 24.1 75.9
2015-16 25 CHI NHL 41 453.5 399 426 48.4 -3.4 291 300 49.2 -0.7 4.7 93.4 98.1 18.7 81.3
2016-17 26 CHI NHL 70 819.4 728 718 50.3 -0.2 542 478 53.1 3.7 8.1 92.7 100.8 29.0 71.0
The bolded numbers are defensive zone start percentages. The absurdity of these numbers can't be understated. To have a CF% over 50 while starting 71% of your shifts in the defensive zone is just borderline miraculous. We're paying a premium for this type of player in terms of salary, but it damn well may be worth it. Cup experience to boot.

Yes.
You'll love him as a #4C but start to dislike him at #3C, he's one of those players.
He simply hasn't had the offense to play there, and especially for Carolina I see him best used at #4C.

Why does everyone have Skinner with Ryan and Stempniak? Waste of Skinner's talents IMO.

Honestly, if (I know) everyone plays at the top of their game, this could be a team that challenges for the Cup. It's not the most talented team, but it is sound with the right mix. There are holes, but it's nothing a trade deadline deal can't fix. Not very deep though. Don't get hurt.
This is the most optimistic I've been in a long time.

If he can still score while dragging their carcasses around like last year that's a win.
