GDT: Official Trade Deadline 2025 Thread: Lets not Tuch our tails between our legs

We 100% are doing something, that isn't an if. I'd be my life on it and it would be the easiest money I've ever made.

Seems like the best fits would be a RW you could put next to Hagel/Cirelli, and a 3rd line C/W to put with Paul and Chaffee, but anyone who can add some identity to the bottom 6 is welcome. Could see one more d-man as well.

BriseBois usually makes the big moves a few days out from the deadline so I'm expecting something to happen by tomorrow.

If Nashville, Evangelista would be a decent target. Boston has Brazeau, maybe Carlo if Tampa was going big that way, and M. Geekie as well.

Schmaltz is a soft pass first winger, I don't see the fit.

Since the start of the 21-22 season he has 79 goals to Tuchs 93, points wise they are right next to each other with Schmaltz at 225 and Tuch 223. Tuch has that one big season of 36 while Schmaltz has been more consistent, with this season being his lowest but assists are up. I just feel like the price for Tuch is going up by the minute and rather not get into a bidding war and overpaying too much.

It's not all about points, it's about fit. Tuch would be an amazing fit, but I also agree that the cost is probably going to be too high in which case I'd be out. This is JBB we are talking about though

Chris Johnston: "If you're looking for a team that can upend this deadline I would point you no further than Tampa. I've had a couple other executives around the league point out that Tampa has been running with a lean roster coming out of 4 Nations. They've had just one extra player, that being Cam Atkinson, and he was put on waivers Tuesday. The Lightning have been able to accrue cap space. They have about 6 million give or take to acquire a forward as they're out there shopping right now and given Julien Brisebois' track record I'd suggest he's going to use that."

* Bolts have 7 defensemen too, but I get his point
