Cheapshot. I've repeated often that it would take at least 5 drafts, but my patience will run low after next season, which will be our 5th rebuild draft.

I don’t think we tanked hard enough this year to sniff the top 5. If we are lucky and full tank from here we may get to 7-10, but names like Misa, Martone and Desnoyers are not gonna be in our wheelhouse. Need new targets.

I tend to look at the GF/GA in an attempt to figure where things are likely to end up. Some teams are under performing relative to their differentials while others are over performing. Keep in mind we went from a -31 to -12 and are now back at -29. The fall back seems to have come a lot quicker that the rise up the charts. It's hard to see us playing .500 hockey down the stretch I'd actually prefer .400 but we will likely fall somewhere in between.

The only teams that can't catch us are Chicago and San Jose. It's still possible for Nashville and Buffalo to pass us. Both teams have enough talent to go on winning streaks.

Really hoping for pick #3 or #4. Plus, don't forget the lottery... we could go higher.
