Which then begs the question; why $10.5m/yr?

I suppose when you hire a public toenail clipper as your leader/coach you have to overpay your own players, sonce no other fa's would come, why would they?

Then why did TBay & Fla also pay more to their G - Vasilevsky & Bobrovsky make considerably more take home than Price

Goalies are a different beast.. we all know this. I for one think tenders are not worth more tgan $5M/yr. They are abysmal at consistency..

I'd rather a string of solid contenders than locking up one goalie fir more than 5 years..

Platooning duties is the only way to go.

Monty - Dobes - Fowler is our future. Work with them. Would rather each make $4m/yr than to pay one $12M/yr which seems to ge the strategy of their agents.. no thank you.

Reality is we're only 4 pts out from drafting 5th overall again. Standings are tight. I also can't see us maintaining a .800 winning streak. We'll see where we are by 4 Nations break.

If by end of February (TDL is March 7th) we are still in PO contention, then there's no way we are tanking and this thread can close.

Yes and no, don't forget those bad teams still have to win enough games to actually get 4 points which given their record takes time. They'd probably need 5-6 games to get those 4 points, so it's not really one bad week.

But by all means keep the thread open, it's better to have a place like this then getting every thread polluted.
