Step 1: Draft James Hagens or Micheal Misa (they need a C, we need to be ready that Dach won't be one)
Step 2: Trade Kirby Dach or Flames 1st for a legit top 4 RHD
Step 3: Completely redo the coaching staff. MSL hasn't showed he can lead a roster, no progression from the team since he's in town, even the individual progress is getting more and more difficult to praise MSL for it. (if a good Qc coach like Montgomery or Tourigny become available.)

Nashville up 4-2 against Canucks. It's time they got hot and vamoose from bottom standings.

But only enough to still finish below Calgary!

This is a complicated tank. Lol We need teams to win enough to finish above the Habs but lose enough to finish below Calgary.

It's going to be really tough to finish below any of San Jose, Anaheim, Chicago and Columbus. Those are the obstacles to us guaranteeing one of Hagens, Schaefer, Misa or Martone. If anyone is complaining about our rebuild taking too long, take a quick look at those dumpster fire teams.

I am in for step 1.

Even if I think we need to be patient with Dach because missing a full year takes a lot of recovery time.

I would not trade him right now, though.

Imagine we go on a run late in the season and take the 11 seed from Calgary on the last day

We got Demidov but lost Dach. I hope he comeback 100% next season. We have a huge whole at center with Jake Evans playing as our second center. Is a shame Dach can't play center. At 6ft4 he could have been great at that position.

Yes how could my dumbass forget Huston lmao

That's a really good rebuilding for me. Slaf will be a 1st line two-way powerforward, Reinbacher have every tools to become a top pairing D and Demidov is a star in the making.

Hutson aswell and Fowler looks the real deal!

Nope, not doing it, as I said this team is better than what they've shown thus far. I have all the patience in the world for this rebuild and realize we're going to struggle at times, but IMO this year was all about being a transitional one with progress across the board, that is/was the expectation.

We've epically struggled out of the gate, but I'm positive this team will turn it around and all this handwringing and moaning about the state of this organization and it's coaching will be seen as nothing more than emotional hot takes that will be looked at as silly in hindsight.

Can it be better? Absolutely. Will it get better? I'm of the belief it will.

Dach, shaking off the dust as the season progresses will help immensely, Slaf rounding back into form as well, (seems traditionally like a slow starter) Laine will help, the young D will progress etc..

All is fine. It may have it's ugly moments, but a rebuild is gonna be that way at times.

This year, I don't care if we are in tank mode or not.

I'm very happy with the future of this team, this team need to know how to wins, I'd rather see Slafkovsky, Hutson and more to play really hard and try to become better each games.

That would be a bonus to get a top 5 pick, but that's not the first thing I want at this point, I'd rather see Laine back and play really really well to make this team better.

I love how wins over the pathetic Jackets and vastly overrated Oilers somehow mean we’re back in business lmao, some of you just won’t let this “in da mix” pipe dream die.

Guess what, we still suck ass and the Ls will start pilling up soon enough.
