Even if the Habs were winning we should be cheering for the bottom feeders in the western Confrerence to win case the Habs miss the playoffs. Then the better the pick the better.

If we finish bottom 3 that means we are at least 4 years away from being competitive. It may alo mean that the rebuild needs a reset.

Funny thing is that the supposedly dead wood Gallagher is our best player. What does that tell us about the core that's supposed to lead us to the cup?

We need a "I f***ing don't care anymore" thread. That's how I feel. I can no longer see us being "in the mix" on short or middle terms. The draft pick advantage won't be enough unless we're lucky and draft a generational player.

It's sad, but that's how you get most superstars. If the team is down the drain, only thing you can wish for is to get your hands on the draft's cream of the crop.

Yeah tank years are not that bad as long as the team is building something and not just waiting for high picks. I think Hughes has done a great job increasing the talent, size, and draft/trade capital. If he gets to draft #1 again the team is in great shape.
