If only they used it...
about that ;) I am looking forward to see Kimmo Timonen or Niko Kapanen completly trashing either Höglund or Axelsson (Timonen wants to give another present to PJ, I think ;)) but this time without sweden scoring five straight goals after it ;)

I'm looking forward to see Sweden score 5 goals after it though :biglaugh:

At first glance Sweden's roster doesn't seem very imposing, but that might be because I'm not familiar with many of the players (non-NHLers). In particular, the defense looks weak.

I think this pretty much CONFIRMS the finals will be between the 2 FAVORITES to win it all, Sweden vs the U.S. :sarcasm: ;)

I'm happy to see Thomas Rhodin with this team. This guy has done a great season with Fribourg in Switzerland.

Just one word with Lundquist, it's a awesome goaltender!

That has definately been a major concern, but we all hope that Kronwall and Bäckman will have their big break-out in this championships.

Has not Bäckman already had his international breakthrough? He was excellent last year, which was the reason he made the World Cup team.

I hope BÅG splits the Rhodin-Jönsson defensive pair. I don't like that pair at all..

He was/is still very anonymous to people who doesn´t follow hockey as closely as we do. He´ll be a household name after this tournament though - hopefully.

Backman? You mean Beckham right? :dunce:

I hope Lundqvist is ready to see alot of shots because their defense looks a bit weak but still a good team.

When was the last time Sweden had a decent defense? never...

On paper it is stellar...but that and on-ice are totally different.

Norstrom, Lidstrom, Johnsson, Ohlund, etc...

hehe, Norström is probably the only good defensive-defenseman we've had. I've always thought guys like Lidström and Ohlund have played bad in Swedish shirt.

you gotta be kidding. Russia just beat us twice.

 don't be fooled!
... that was just part of the Swedish plan! They will strike when you don't expect them to!

Öhlund and Lidström haven't quite been stellar on the team, but never really bad.

I'd like to say that Ragnarsson when on Tre Kronor has been close to exceptional defensively.
