Looks like Felger's in hot water again. What a f***ing idiot. Don't care if it is a "joke", this kind of shit isn't funny nor is it appropriate especially with Monty's history and openess about his issue.

Before someone says this is no big deal, it is especially when you are the child of a functioning alcoholic who died of the desease and have other relatives who have been clean for decades.

Does that dolt actually expect us to believe his remarks had nothing to do with Montgomery's history with alcoholism? I know he thinks his listeners are morons, but doesn't he know not everybody who pays attention to New England sports listens to him and his two slack jawed lackeys?

Even if you're not a new england sports fan, many people know Monty's story since his speech from last year's NHL Awards was played everywhere and was all over social media. Even if you live under a rock, it was real easy to understand what he was talking about.

His "apology" was garbage. I hope they suspend him.

Did they pluck a producer Rich is familiar with? I have it on now. If Rich has the energy to do his bits I can see it doing well. I have said this before but I don't need hardcore sports talk all day long. I work at home and have Sports Hub on most of the day. I would easily tune out if it was just Felger's idea of sports talk radio. I need SOME humor/non-sports talk mixed in.

I can't see three sports stations surviving though. So I would imagine this is the final nail in the coffin for WEEI? I will say Rich, Hurley and Ted already sound like they have pretty good chemistry. No idea what I will listen to in the morning but I can see Fred losing his shit again in the near future! He's gonna play it off like he's not worried but you know his sensitive self is gonna get all hot and bothered.

Who was previously on WZLX mornings and what happened to that show?

I listened a lot today and they got a chance to grab a good sized chunk of WEEI & Sports Hub

Seems upbeat and Johnson, Girardi, and Hurley are a pretty solid group

WEEI to much of Greg and especially Chris Curtis political views worked in - they’ve let Curtis hijack show to much- Wiggy is a character but he’s completely out of touch with everything but thinks the opposite

Sports Hub should be called The Life of Fred Toucher

Will see where it goes but I am personally up for not knowing anything about who the hosts like politically or have on or incessant ass kissing (Curtis to Greg) or someone’s health or marriage issues like Fred

Unplugged with some strong Patriots knowledge and ok on rest works

I thought ZLX was a Beasley station and affiliated with The Sports Hub? Atleast I thought that is where they play the Celtics games when the Bruins play at the same time. Are they not a Beasley station anymore?

Edit: after some googling, I think I'm getting confused with another station.
