BE WARNED

Everybody keep their freedom of speech, political, gender, color and religious views to themselves or go to the Political Board.

10) Off-Topic Posting: Posts are to be on the topic of the board description where they're posted. Off Topic posts may be moved or closed at the moderators discretion. We do not allow homework threads. All political discussion is to be done on the Political Discussion Forum.

17) Moderator Abuse (Attacking/Disobeying the moderators): If you disagree with something the moderators did, fine, disagree and let us know, but do it politely through PM or email ONLY. Complaining on the forums is not permitted. If your thread or post was moved/closed/removed there was a good reason for it. Do not start a new one. Attacking or flaming a moderator via PM is subject to a Moderator Abuse infraction. Be respectful and considerate. Profanity and abusive conduct isn't tolerated.
Do not plead the first amendment and cite your right to free speech. It does not apply to the private sector. This is a privately owned website. Dancing around the rules, purposely skirting them just to see us twitch will not help you out much, either.

Do not post on behalf of someone who's banned. That will get you banned as well. The idea of being banned is that the banned member no longer is a part of this online community and is not allowed to interact here. No making threads that give glory to banned people. It's not a violation to mention the them in passing but no threads that focus on them. ("Ah, Troll du Jour, I miss him so!" or "Hey, it's Troll du Jour's birthday!"). Prohibited threads include "What banned member do you miss/would you bring back?" type of threads. If a moderator gives you a specific instruction in a warning, and you blatantly disregard it, you are subject to being banned.

ESPN was really doing Schilling a favour. Do people really watch that crap network anymore? They dont even really cover hockey. When Im back in the USA I just watch the NHL network and NESN

Got Cam to drop an F bomb.

Also caught him wondering why Smith didn't pan out here.

He didn't want to say why they traded him. Professional in his answer. You don't throw other teams players under the bus.

Yeah, he doesn't need money after losing it all, total favor. Also, what does he have to do with hockey anyhow? Quite frankly, NESN seems relieved when Bruins season ends.

What?

This team has a history of throwing players "under the bus" way back to the Sinden days.

Perhaps the question shouldn't have been "why", but how was the decision reached, who was involved, a season later, would you make that trade again and finally, did your pro scouting make a mistake.

And when he responds by saying he gained cap flexibility by dumping Savard's contract I would ask: Was it really cap flexibility or saving ownership money? Because under the CBA, there was no cap flexibility, you were allowed to spend Savard's cap hit in LTIR space anyway. So was it really about money? Or did you misunderstand the CBA and LTIR?

I don't think they thought Reilly smith was going to be worth 3.5 mil. He was a floater here.

Much as I disdain the Felger and Mazz pathetic attempt at journalism, they asked the questions many of us here have been asking.
Tony Mazzarotti knows little about hockey and Felger is a bomb thrower without much to back it up. They backed #8 into a corner on Smith. They challenged him on the difference between Smith and Hayes' salary and he could only respond "it was more than a million dollars". That is weak. If there were more to the decision to trade him, Cam could have said that he couldn't disclose it at this time. Very poor performance by a Chief Executive. He came off as an amateur.

Too bad because he was a great player.

Can we all now put to rest this bizarre myth that somehow Felger and Neely are buds and that's why Felger "takes it easy on him," while hammering the coach and the rest of the FO?

Thats what I would think but some here won't let that drop I'm sure.

I'm amazed how much some people who can't stand F&M seem to pay a lot of attention to them.

That was a head-scratcher. The few times I've heard Cam talking to Felger he seemed to be barely tolerating him.

For all the flack they take, Felger and Mazz have been talking plenty of hockey.

I think the flak is due to the fact that they don't know what they're talking about and want nothing more than to stir up ****. (The latter is what they're supposed to do, I know.) It's like listening to the Kardashians discuss physics. If you know anything about science, that would certainly drive you insane.

I made that point because for months Felger would blame everyone but Neely, and when callers either called him out for not criticizing Neely or put him on the blame list, he would deflect it.

I don't think they thought Reilly smith was going to be worth 3.5 mil. He was a floater here.

Was he a floater or did he simply look out of place because they were asking him to do things that were outside his skill set? I said this last year, but I think the practice of adapting the players to the system versus adapting the system to the players is part of the problem. Guys aren't playing and letting the game come to them naturally. They're thinking too much about where they have to be, reacting instead of being being proactive, and playing like they're tentative a lot of the time.

Maybe. I think they have (Felger does, Mazz not so much) more knowledge then they get credit for. While Felger can go off the rails, I think he's right a little more than people want to admit,

At the end of the day, Felger asks questions fans want to know and is passionate about the sport. He's not claiming to be an expert on everything Bruins - he's a talk show host.
