I read the OP and the link, but can someone inform me as to what Game Day Talk actually is? What do the signed up people do? What does this all entail?

When you sign up for a GDT, you create a GDT (Game Day Thread/Game Discussion thread) for that game. You are the OP of that thread and use creative skills to put up matchup information and game information in that first post.

Look at Leafs/Habs GDT for example.

it's okay I think i'm officially A-OK to request the January 1st game, which I'd like. (I will request games for november and december i'm just trying to give people more time + insuring I have the time to do so, if they go unclaimed, I'll totally do something... where did all our GDTers go anyway?)
