Post-Game Talk: Official Kings (2) vs Soilers (3) Series talk

I hope Malott goes full Chris Kontos. I'm totally ready to use this creation

Jim already confirmed that Jeannot wont play in the first week at all.
Yeah Dooley said its week to week, dont expect him back for gms 1 and 2 but not ruled out for the series. Hillier clarified that it means at least a week from today

Malott coming for Jeannot's job.
Great if he can do it saves us 2 million at least and he would be fine with 1 year deal.

I feel like the more pre series talk by pundits and commentators is in Edmonton’s favor. They are getting maximum rest for banged up bodies and bulletin board material. Just play the game already!

PK doesn't seem improved & D going down is easy enough to exploit. Without a PK Hiller will go to his safe hockey for the first 2-3 games before losing faith. Lots of cheap shots coming out way & no pushback.

Maybe it's the year Hiller grows a pair & has the team ready to fight from pick drop game 1?

Hopefully Blake gets fired or retires by the end of the year. Just get Brown in as GM. At least he's likable.

3rd for Kuzmenko was all the draft capital Blake was willing to spend on this team. Tells you all you need to know.

Took some time off because I didn't want rain on everyone's parade. No Lewis game 1? Exactly what we expect from Hiller.

Only way I see Kane getting into the series is if they're desperate for offense. He hasn't played all year and the playoffs are not a great time for getting into game shape.
Oilers fans are excited to see in the line up at sometime point but he’s gonna be shit at game play so he’s going to do something dirty and get himself suspended aka the Kane special.

The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced the Oilers are going to win.

Kings fans are talking up LA's depth as an advantage, but I don't see it. I think this Oilers forward group has plenty of depth.

And for all the talk of Edmonton's injuries, I think Doughty isn't 100%.

The Oilers are different and its why they give the Kings such a hard time. Depth doesnt really matter. Maybe their depth players pot a couple. Skinner will let in a couple stinkers and also make a couple nice saves.
Its Mcdavid and Draisaitl. They need to minimize the damage from those 2 especially on the powerplay along with Bouchard. Easier said than done.

Go the Randy Carlyle/Ducks way and run Bouchard til he drops. Do not pass up any chance at laying the body on him.

Doughty has also played like crap. Could be the injury hampering him, but he definitely will be a target for Edmonton.

If ever there was a chance for the Kings to slay the dragon, this is it. The series is a dead heat, with the Kings holding a slight 50.2 percent edge.

Dom says it's a 50/50 series.
