Michigan State looked at the state of the football program and went, “Yeah, basketball and hockey for less money sounds good.” I get it. I watched some of those games too.
It was always kind of dumb it wasn't just a flat 4 years post draft for everyone. The NHL is going to have to do some changes in regards to NCAA players and their rights. They either extend it a year after college or they are going to have to work out an arrangement with the NCAA similar to Jrs.
Aidan Chiles had a lot of hype.Michigan State looked at the state of the football program and went, “Yeah, basketball and hockey for less money sounds good.” I get it. I watched some of those games too.

I guess we’ll see who it is but it appears Penn State landed somebody else noteworthy.
They’ve been linked to Porter Martone.
Oh the money is here already?
I don’t know how you look at the history of college football and basketball and do anything but assume the majority of CHL stars are headed to US colleges. The bagmen won’t be from the SEC this time, but the process is the same.
There are going to be people who think the traditional system can hold. Look at college football real closely before you make that argument. It’s all a cash grab. Even the traditional Bowl games. They just hid it a little better.
It sounds with Penn State that Terry Pegula is essentially behind their NIL spending efforts which makes sense at this point given he dropped like $100M how many years ago to upstart the program.
I wonder what the going rate is for a top hockey player? We kind of have an idea for football & basketball. I’m thinking like maybe over a $100K for the top guys? An AHL salary on a ELC could be like over $80K on a max deal. Signing bonuses are about over $90K. I’m guessing these are the type of numbers you’re gonna have beat or come close to if you’re an NCAA program?
Luke Misa apparently turned down an NHL contract from Calgary to go to Penn State. So I’m thinking they would have had to compensate him for that potential lost signing bonus for next year?
Hagans may not be available when they pick, but with this mentality expect more of the same as the last 15 years.Catching up on podcasts, seems ASF thinks Desnoyers is their guy and they have Hagans out of the top tier.
I don’t think 2 of Frondell/Hagens/Desnoyers will be there at 6 so good chance if Hagens is there he’s the pick.Catching up on podcasts, seems ASF thinks Desnoyers is their guy and they have Hagans out of the top tier.
He also said the “only” question with Martin is whether he can play center or not lol.

Prospect Sam Bennett might skate circles around Brady Martin for 60 straight minutes then beat the wheels off him.
Yeah it’s kinda funny. Bennett had a case as the best player in that draft during his draft year and fell, in part…because he couldn’t do a pull up at the combine.Prospect Sam Bennett might skate circles around Brady Martin for 60 straight minutes then beat the wheels off him.
Can't remember the last prospect you didn't like this much lol.My issue is similar. My question is whether he can play hockey or not.
They might take O’Brien over Hagens.I don’t think 2 of Frondell/Hagens/Desnoyers will be there at 6 so good chance if Hagens is there he’s the pick.

Can the Flyers catch up on modern NHL practices? Or can they finally grit and try hard their way to the Stanley Cup? Stay tuned for the next unexciting episode of Failure! A true NHL Flyers story.Catching up on podcasts, seems ASF thinks Desnoyers is their guy and they have Hagans out of the top tier.
Maybe he and Kenny Pickett should swap sports.

You can do it with the consensus rankings too which are a bit less set it stone. On the FC rankings you can often bypass Bear at 22 and get him at 31 for some reason as wellThanks, @BiggE and others, for bringing FCHockey to my attention. That mock is fun to do. Here are my two-round results:
