Is there a chance Martone is available at #6? If so, should that be the Flyers' pick?
If one of Hagens or Martone are there I think you take them and run. Hagens being the best case scenario.

That's my list, but with my jinxing power they will not be there. I think when we get into the next tier is where its a crap shoot -- not saying Hagens or Martone are sure things, but the next tier has a lot more questions. If one of Hagens or Martone are there I think you take them and run. One ranking I saw had him listed as the #1 center in the draft. Although with draft rankings not always sure if someone is trying to get clicks.
I’m booty at evaluating skating but it looks good to me. It’s his athleticism that might hold him back a bit? It’s tough to understand but I’m not too concerned with it. He’s one of the best Dmen in the class with gaps in quick transition and timing interceptions, he’s super aggressive there.Tosepher. You know why. What was the number again? Three defensemen under six foot drafted last year?
How’s his skating? Didn’t seem like a huge plus in the little that I saw against Canada that would make me feel like teams would draft him in an appropriate range at his size.
Stats are acceptable for the USHL. Led draft eligible D in points and that was after coming over mid year.
This is basically what I’m expecting from 24-40. At least 1 RHD and 2 C’s with size. Ryabkin would be fun because I think this board would be split on him.Pronman and Wheeler shared their picks for the first 2 rounds.
#6, Jake O'Brien (C), (top 5 were Schaefer, Misa, Frondell, Desnoyers, Hagens ... McQueen and Martone go 7-8), "the Flyers strongly consider [Martin] and [Martone] here, but O'Brien's smarts come the closest to matching Michkov's, and they bet on that pair working in sync" - Wheeler
#24, Jack Nesbitt (C)
#25, Logan Hensler (RHD)
#36, William Horcoff (C)
#40, Ivan Ryabkin (C)
#45, Eddie Genborg (LW), "a true throwback Flyers type of pick... one of the most physical players in the draft" - Pronman
#48, Nathan Behm (RW)
Aren’t those picks from Col. and Edm 22 and 30?Pronman and Wheeler shared their picks for the first 2 rounds.

@Appleyard saw you posted about euro 5v5 production for Dmen. Are there any fwds in the class with more lopsided 5v5 production than Drott? I think it's close to 90%.

Didn't expect that from Zharovsky. Really like him. Haven't seen any of Petrenko though. I'll check him out.Petrenko (25/31 at 5v5) is very similar. Drott I believe is at 29/36.
Zharovsky (41/50 at 5v5) is also crazy high. Westergard (37/50) is also high. David Krčál (I think 32/43)...
Probably some others but not done a full on Euro data set.
Not many guys ever get over 75%.

I could see it going that way (Schaefer, Misa, Frondell, Desnoyers, Hagens). I think it might be down to preference that could sway the exact order of the last 3. If this does happen I am hoping for Martone or that he goes earlier and pushes Hagens down to us. Because of past history my concern is "the Flyers strongly consider [Martin]".Pronman and Wheeler shared their picks for the first 2 rounds.

I definitely like the Obrien pick at 6 if the draft falls like that. Has the profile of a guy who could be a 1C with the least red flags.
This is what I am hoping for. It only takes oneI still think there will be a major surprise in the top 5 as there often is. Armstrong has gone off the reservation to pick Simashev, Buk, and Iginla in the 1st the last 2 drafts. I could see him liking McQueen or Martin. I think a team in the top 5 may also take a swing on O’Brien if they don’t like the upside of the other guys
I already have him kinda highish and you're making me wanna bump him up even more.Zharovsky's numbers are insane.
3.7 5v5 P/60
66% xGF
basically only Misa, Desnoyers, Martone, Kindel and Bear have scored more per 60 in an u-20 league this season... and MHL is way lower scoring than the CHL.
And in terms of xGF%? No junior draft eligible player on earth has better. (Kindel is right there with him though, Bear not too far off, Westergard there too (but that is the Stenberg effect mostly)
