Official 2025 NHL DRAFT Thread

I think it might make more sense to drop a bag on an elite LW since the ST market sucks. Pretty sure he played ST at Lille too so why not try it out.
Not a finisher. I love Leao but Milan has been looking for a proper striker for years now and they don't even think enough to give him run there. Not sure he even wants to. He prefers to slow things down and take fullbacks on 1v1 which won't work in the middle. #NotaSoccerGuyTho

Is there a website that shows the 2025 draft slots? It seems like CapWages only goes up to 2024.

This is basic, but does the job

6. Philadelphia Flyers
22. Philadelphia Flyers
~30. Philadelphia Flyers

36. Philadelphia Flyers
40. Philadelphia Flyers
45. Philadelphia Flyers
48. Philadelphia Flyers

68. Philadelphia Flyers

132. Philadelphia Flyers

164. Philadelphia Flyers

196. Philadelphia Flyers
There should absolutely be opportunity in this draft. You really should be able to hit with 5 picks from 30-48.

Pronman has Hagens at 11 lol

It's not even the worst part. He's got this guy at 12.

Yeah, he’s milquetoast Mel Kiper. We get it. Can we get back on topic and talk about Portugal?

12th amongst Russians?

That seems about right... lmao

Joking ofc. He has something about him aside from just the size. But yeh... 12 is wild.

Tbf he was doing an exercise where his rankings were "if you only account playoffs" becuase that's an exercise nhl teams so apparently.

It wasn't his actual list - but yea still too low. He mentioned teams are worried Hagens doesn't play in the inside as much as they want and his compete isn't always consistent

Much watch video on O'Brien who is quickly becoming one of my preferred choices at 6.

The discourse on him within this thread on him surprised me. We all complain how we never take the purely skilled guy and always go for the two way lopsided type. O'Brien is one of the most purely skilled players in the draft, one of the best playmakers in the past couple drafts - high upside player.

I know a lot of his production came on the power play but it's still production. He's nowhere near a perfect prospect but he has high potential

He’s still outside of the tier we will be drafting at right. Maybe trade back but he seems to be a reach at 6. Someone decent should be there.

Actually no - Pronman, Wheeler, Peters and Robinson all saying the same thing, there's a clear top 7 (right now) with Schafer, Misa, Hagens, Desnoyers, Martone, O'Brien and Frondell!

They all keep saying teams have 3-7 is different orders (assuming they mean Schaefer and Misa as 1-2)

They also saying the 2 wildcards are McQueen and Martin (lol)

Martin and O’Brien are a bit like ying and yang in a bunch of ways. I wonder what the odds are that either ends of as a C in the NHL

Wonder if we try an trade up to 7 or 8...if we could draft Martone/Desnoyers at 6 and one of O Brien/Martin would be really interesting... so much draft capital and some expendable players (York/Drysdale) could make it interesting
