Frondell, most elite pure shooter,power shot,lightning quick release,good skill set,hockey sense,pace,menace on the forecheck. He has an NHL body now.
As far as tiers go, he is a tier higher than Desnoyer.

I would be very upset if they draft Desnoyers ahead of Frondell.

Even if the hockey gods smite the Flyers and we drop 2 spots, we are still safely in that top 6-7 player tier before it falls off. Lots of Boston fans think we are going to win the lottery lol

I would have Frondell behind the top 4, but I enjoyed him the most of the rest. I don’t know if he’s a center projecting out (if that’s a reason they take him 4th, a big ehhh); I only watched him on the wing, and he looks like a wing. But Desnoyers will most likely be a middle 6 center. The team that takes him that high is doing it because he’s a center. He’s a very easy scout. It’s like the Cam York of centers. Consistent, efficient, nothing to dislike, little to love, will absolutely be passed by others at that spot looking back. I can at least point to Frondell’s highs.

I can’t believe they actually lost… Desnoyers is the absolute worst case scenario, assuming they drop 2 spots in the lottery. I’d be very happy with that. Would probably prefer Schaefer, Misa, Hagens, Frondell and Martone over him though.

I agree about BPA, but we all know they’re taking a C. I wouldn’t hate Martone at 4 if Hagens is gone but I’d be shocked if they drafted a RW. I’d still prefer Frondell but it’s close.

As long as we get one of the big 5 (I’m including Frondell because I’m very high on him) I’ll be happy. I’m officially out on Desnoyers now too. He would be a comfy pick at 6 but I don’t like him at 4.

Desnoyers is the worst case scenario guy for if they drop 2 spots in the lottery. Schaefer, Misa, Hagens, Frondell and Martone are probably the clear top 5. Desnoyers is pretty damn good worst case scenario though. Can’t be mad at that…

I could see Nashville going for the big winger Martone but regardless, Desnoyers, Hagens, Frondell , any of the 3 is fine. Personally prefer Desnoyers but they are all roughly equal. Different, but roughly equal.

I've seen a lot of people doubt Desnoyers here.

Yes he's a "two way C" like Luchanko but a complete tier or 2 above. His potential is legit a Toews, Kopitar, Couturier type.

I don't know if somebody saw that here but Desnoyers was doing an interview in french the other day with Justin Carbonneau and was asked something like "If the rules are changing and it's now the players that choose the team, what team would you choose to play?" And Desnoyers, told that he would choose the Flyers to have a chance to play with his brother.

I know the family relationship comes into play here but I don't remember a player saying his first choice would be the Flyers. If a guy wants to be a Flyer, they will probably draft him one way or another.

Elliott is RFA at the end of the year and has had a disappointing past 2 seasons in LV (6 goals last year and 5 goals this year) after scoring 23 goals in 2022-23. Is it even a certainty the Flyers re-sign Elliott?

Not sure if it’s been posted here but Charlie mentioned on the PHLY podcast that he’s heard the Flyers are very high on Schaefer and that he’d be their pick if they move up to 1OA

I’m not convinced that any of the centers, including Misa, are gonna be high end #1s. If they win the lottery, they need to draft Schaefer. I think he’s a near lock to be a top pair D and a legit shot to be a #1.

They need a 1D just as much as a 1C.
