this is the wayI know there's lots of cynicism here so right now, how many of you are thinking they will fall to drafting around 8th, take McQueen, and his back problems will end his career in 2-3 years?

I agree that 1 of those 6 players are Flyers highest priority choices. We'll have to wait and see what the lottery gives them...finishing in 5th/6th gives them pretty high odds of moving down another pickwell Kraken winning helps.
If Misa, Schaefer and Martone are guaranteed to go in the top 5, we can pick 6th and still get one of Frondell, Hagens and Desnoyers.
So there's a chance
I already posted that yesterday.I know there's lots of cynicism here so right now, how many of you are thinking they will fall to drafting around 8th, take McQueen, and his back problems will end his career in 2-3 years?
Yeah, this disappoints me as I was a huge Gauthier fan until he burned the bridge. He is what I expected. It is a shame he had to be traded away. I was never a big Drysdale fan, but am now hoping he continues to get better and becomes a somewhat valuable player. He is a long way from that still though.Speaking of drafts, a past draft. Cutter Gauthier has heated up lately. Now sits at 20 goals and 23 assists for 43 points. On a bad team. Kid is going to be a serious player
He “had to be traded away” because the Briere and Jones refused the play the game, as they, and had to show him who was boss. Blew up in their faces, I’d say.Yeah, this disappoints me as I was a huge Gauthier fan until he burned the bridge. He is what I expected. It is a shame he had to be traded away. Good. Then we agree. (I can't read everything)I already posted that yesterday.
McKenzie had him at 39 on the last list8th rounder.
He’s 5’4. I’ve seen this one before.McKenzie had him at 39 on the last list![]()
Eklund is number 5 on my board. I absolutely f***ing LOVE him. I just don't think the Flyers would even allow us to dream of him.I think a lot of posters are shortchanging Eklund because he’s a wing. He has world class skills, great sense, good wheels, a non stop motor and some sandpaper in his game. I’d absolutely take him over Desnoyers at #6.
None of the top C’s are guaranteed number ones, if I can land a guy with a very good chance of being a quality 1LW, I’ll happily take him.
If they lose out, they may finish 5th worst. They need Boston to get at least three points in their final two games to pass them. Boston is beating Pittsburgh at the moment.Flyers control their destiny. If they lose out, they finish fourth.
Which means they'll pick 11th, somehow
Curious how long the Eagles would keep Flahrsy as their personnel guy. Or ride the nostalgia train over and again in the front office, with aging vets, behind the bench, with such terrible resultsI was just thinking about the Eagles comparisons from a few days ago, and the Flyers front office purportedly studying Howie. Eye-roll worthy, but in light of the Flyers never ever believing in tanking, and wanting to win these April games, the Eagles engineered an absolute tank job against the Commanders a few years ago to move from 9th to 6th (sounds familiar). They didn’t give two shits about pride. They didn’t even pick at 6, but you could draw a pretty straight line from that one late season tank (in assets + follow-up decisions) to building their SB team.
Flyers studying that one? No? So much for that 7-25 tier.
