If #1 is Misa I can see the reasoning for 1 and then 2-6. And that hopefully indicates Eklund is in their 2-6 tier.

But thinking 7-25 is a "tier" is a bit wild. Can see 7-15 then 16-25? But a tier that big just cannot be right.

Desnoyers, O'Brien, Smith... vs say Fiddler, Aitchesen, Zonnon...

BUT if they do end up with #7-8 then they should 100% trade down if that is there opinion.

Mark Greig said they don't view there being a true No.1 center in this draft, so unless they view Misa as a winger and 1OA, I think they have Schaefer as the No.1

I have. They’re probably gonna be picking in the 4-6 range and I feel like that would be a big reach for O’Brien imho. I think there would be far better options available at those spots.

That's a fair comment. I saw he was in your bottom tier and was surprised.

Personally I have him ranked 7th but long term, I don't think he's far off than guys like Martone and Hagens who I have 5/6 respectively. O'Brien has a lot more development left. Genuinely think if he hits his ceiling can be an 80 point C

Like I’ve said before: the Flyers drafting strategy relies on nailing picks outside the top 10, in the belief their drafting supremacy can unearth stars (along with their gosh darned culture). It’s a folly of a plan, rarely works. But it’s possible! And every single draft, a potential star falls to them…..their plan looks slightly more realistic…..and they reject that player for a lesser talent. They’re very bad at this.

No team needs to be force-fed a chalk pick at the top of the draft more than them.

Since draft 2018, only two players hit >PPG in this season. Jack Hughes and Quinn Hughes.
Not a great era for deep diving, especially considering no one player from this draft even close to Hughes brothers.

So they should take Brady Martin and just relax.
