Swapping picks with the Oilers was a good move and risk worth taking. What I can’t figure out for the life of me is why on earth did they not get back an additional pick? Even if a 6th rd pick for example. Current 1st rd picks traded for future ones always have something else going to the team that traded the pick.

Let’s not forget, the logic at the time was that Flahrsy and company LOVED the 2025 draft, thought it was so strong. Turns out it is a weak draft. Beloved Flahrsy still has a job.

Do you take a swing at McQueen if he is still there (with the Oilers or somehow Colorado pick?)

I see Ryabkin is in his tier 6 list. I’ve seen a lot of gents here including Appleyard who have him in the late 1st range.

Point being, rebuilding teams looking to build their prospect pool aggressively add picks and draft more than the allotted 7 picks.

Chicago has probably made 11 picks per draft recently, San Jose 9, maybe more.

Anazingly, the Flyer prospect pool is thinner and likely worse since this fake rebuild started.

We know it's a strong draft, but also there are situations next summer where we can be players and get in the game and take a big step hopefully."

I still think it’s hilarious that the only draft he went on record as saying sucked is 2021. Nailed that one too.

I’m not a fan of Scouch’s rankings. I like some of his video breakdowns, but he has some weird takes.

Steve Kournianos is not big on Misa. He says he is primarily a goal scorer. He likes Hagens way more. He says tha Misa is not the play driver on his line. chernoshev is. Scoring goals is hard though and there is value in that, so I ca still see a dynamic duo with Misa and Michkov together on a line.

I'm with you on this. I have Misa right behind Schaefer in this draft at number 2. I think he and Michkov will complement each other well.

I like both players, but not at the Flyers first pick. I had Bear in the top 10 prior to his injury. Now I hope teams are too afraid to take him until the Flyers second pick in the first, then I would jump all over him.

Yup, I like Bear a lot and would love to see him in PHI. High motor, high skill guy that would be loved there. That injury was awful and I hope it doesn't slow him down once recovered.
