Prospects I would love to see in Flyers and get selected if possible (not all of course): Hagens, Mrtka, Benak, Eklund, Westergård, Osmanis, Radivojevic.

Lot of them will be drafted in different round as well. That's my prediction at least. With Mrtka, Hagens and Eklund going in the first of course.

Can't believe so many people are dropping Hagens

Kinda expected him to go bold.

Schaefer is great but taking defensemen 1-1 doesn’t quite yield the best results.

Dahlin was deservedly considered a generational defenseman, and while he is great, he’s probably not even the best defenseman in his class. And Makar went in the prior draft and no one would have considered him on Dahlin’s level at the time.

Good chance Power doesn’t turn out to be the best defenseman from his class either.

Is it fair to say that there are probably eight potential top centers in the first round of this draft? I'm looking and I see Hagens, Misa, Ryabkin, Desnoyers, O'Brien, Frondell and possibly McQueen and Moore?

Depends what you mean by top centers. If you’re talking about potential 1C’s it ends at Hagens and Misa.

would you guys like them to take a gamble on Ryabkin if he falls to our later first round picks? Could give Mich a buddy and it’s possible he’s just having a tough year and needs to figure things out

Depends how he finishes the season. I have little interest in a lot of this class so he'd at least be interesting to follow but I'd be scared to do it.

Two goal USHL debut for Ivan Ryabkin tonight. Slammed home a nice feed from behind the net for his first goal, then tied the game late in the third from the right wing half wall. Looked like he banked it off a defenseman's skate. Had a shot in the shootout but tried a quick shot from maybe 15 feet and was stopped.

Nice vision, made some really nice passes, feisty, and physical. Didn't play with much pace, not sure if that's always the case. There weren't too many rush opportunities against the USA NTDP team. Not a high energy guy, but never seemed to be out of position in any of the three zones. Looking forward to watching more of him now that he's over here.

Would be a nice pick by the Flyers if they got him. From my very limited viewing of some of the kids.

He’s not a consistent motor or pace guy imo, but the game isn’t always about that either.

I like Bear though. The flash is what draws me but not sure they can pick high enough here to get that.

Another goal for Ryabkin. USA 17U left him alone in front of the net. Got major and game misconduct for slew footing with about 15 minutes left. Flo feed cut out so I didn't see how bad it was, but refs only took a few seconds to review it.

I'm imagining a rat line of Ryabkin centering TK and Michkov. Would probably need a couple of body guards to play defense.

Would be interested in what people think of Ryabkin.

If this team tanks and gets to draft in top5 that player will receive attention by the best in the league and get to work with Morin, Schultz and Stewart to improve their skillset. Then Lappy, Rocky and Torts will take over trying to further leverage their talent and put them in position to succeed. When Briere sees the finished product and knows exactly what he is working with he will use his keen eye for talent to surround him with best players our pro scouts can recommend.

We just need to trade up, get one or two top5 picks and then everything else will fall into place.
