I locked back in for the mock draft to try and find some late round gems. All I found was him.Nearly doubled up Amico in points at Mt St Charles.
There is no way you are watching USHL games.
Limatov wasn't there sadly. This is the list of guys.
Maybe they like Zharovsky though?
I have a gig Friday and we start at 7. So I guess our first break is really gonna suck.A good test is to name every top defensive defensemen in the league. Where were they drafted?
Hell, the back to back Cup champs got their 1D, defensive leaning guy off waivers.
75% chance I make it to pick #6, and then shut the TV off and take a power drill to my head.
Who?
You didn't watch him yet?Zharovsky.
I have a problem with you, but that’s a separate matter.
You didn't watch him yet?
What are we?What is this, 20 questions?!
I’m not watching another second of anyone until the Flyers draft them. Then I’ll watch and dislike them.

Zegras probably relieves that pressure quite a bit. They do still need to add a lot of defense and center prospects as it is. The winger situation already looks like it’s going to need to be cleaned up in the next few yearsIf the Flyers don’t take a center at #6 then it’s all but certain the Flyers would have to take one at #22 or #31.
100%... like clockwork, this site will crash when the draft starts going..I’ll be drunk by the time the draft rolls around & I assume this website will have gone to shit by then anyway.
I do feel like this happens every year. Scouts focus on one player and over analyze them into oblivion.Speaking of Brad Allen and Hockey Prospect, they really picked James Hagens apart. Criticized his skating, passing, inability or unwillingness to move away from perimeter play. The also questioned his thinking on the ice. It was very interesting. They said he is a very talented player and Projects as a 70 point winger. Jerome Berube and Allen were very critical. They said he could get better. They compared him to Shane Wright.
The love Carter Bear but are wary of his injury. They had him well inside the top 10 before his injury.
Very interesting conversation.
the thing with Martin is that there's been so much buzz about him around this draft position and multiple teams near the Flyers having interest in him that it no longer feels like some ludicrous reach, it's just that he's by far the least inspiring option out of the 8 or so players that've been connected to the Flyers that if he ends up being the guy, we'll justifiably react to it in the same way we did Luchanko.I feels everyone's pessimism too - things seem to be trending Martin.
Any of the Flyers media guys say anything about Luchanko before the draft last year?
If there isn’t a Philly guy who called Luchanko before the draft I’m not sure they are worth paying attention to. We’ve seen Desnoyers, Frondell, Hagens, Martone, Martin and O’Brien thrown out by different people which tells us absolutely nothing. I think we’ll only know once the pick is madethe thing with Martin is that there's been so much buzz about him around this draft position and multiple teams near the Flyers having interest in him that it no longer feels like some ludicrous reach, it's just that he's by far the least inspiring option out of the 8 or so players that've been connected to the Flyers that if he ends up being the guy, we'll justifiably react to it in the same way we did Luchanko.
Now this i wanna know. Because i remember that pick feeling like it came absolutely the f*** out of nowhere.
The more i think about it, the pick that feels like... let's call it the best Flyers case scenario (i.e. not the ACTUAL best case scenario, which is probably Hagens at 6 or trade up a few spots and take Frondell) but the best case scenario given who's responsible for running the team and setting their draft board is... trade up with Utah and take Desnoyers. not the guy with the highest ceiling, but the guy with the most well-rounded game that doesn't feel likely to bust and will justify his draft position. he probably won't overperform, but he'll be a really good player and a staple of their top 6 for a long time. you'll have some people that'll complain that they should've taken someone else, for sure, but you probably won't have some insane outcry like when you passed on Buium. that last point probably means a lot to the Flyers' state run media. If there isn’t a Philly guy who called Luchanko before the draft I’m not sure they are worth paying attention to.
