With our last pick Washington selects from the Jokerit U20 squad, Santeri Hatakka.

1190450.jpg

After drafting Bergeron for his offensive prowess, we decided to pick up a defenseman that we can trust in our own end. Hatakka showed that he can handle skilled competition when playing at the World Juniors this year. He was one of Finland's more responsible defenders. Ideally we hope that he can find an offensive side to his game, but we won't be upset if he keeps to his mold.

Final draft list:
1st(29th): Brayden Tracey LW 6'0" 177lbs, Moose Jaw, WHL
2nd(60th): Shane Pinto C 6'2" 192lbs Tri-City Storm, USHL
4th(122nd): Gianni Fairbrother LD 6'0" 194lbs, Everett, WHL
5th(129th): Justin Bergeron LD 6'1" 181lbs, Rouyn-Noranda, QMJHL
7th(215th): Santeri Hatakka LD 6'0" 174lbs Jokerit U20, Jr A Liiga

With pick #216, the Columbus are happy to select from the Loko Yaroslavl (MHL), Maxim Denezhkin (C)

Good hands and shows flashes of skill but needs work to get to the next level. Max is a hard worker though and we are hopeful of him to eventually become a contributor to the club.

Tampa is up to wrap it up.

Who is OBS? Never saw him post in the draft thread and seems very well informed regarding the next draft class.. By far the biggest winner of this draft...

Obviously Hughes at 2 was an easy pick, but then you have Seider at 22, what is an absolute robbery, I currently have him in my top 10.. Then Légaré at 37 who is IMO one of the most underrated prospects in the draft, plays similar to Patrice Bergeron... Honka 49th OV, who I like too, then Farrinacci who I have know clue who he is, but poster makes another great description of the player... Teply 68th overall who I really like at that spot since thats an homerun type of swing... I wont comment furthermore on the next guys but I repeat, who the hell is OBS? Thats too good of a mock draft with some pretty informative descriptions on each kids to think that the guy is actually only an average poster on this board...

:bolts As the last pick in the Official HFHabs 2019 Mock, Tampa selects from Edmonton Oil Kings, Vladimir Alistrov.

12.30.18-Alistrov_Bench-780x500-1024x657.jpg

Surprised he was gonna go undrafted, in retrospect I should've taken him earlier but had no idea he was still on the board. Owns plenty of skill in a good sized frame, Alistrov is among the new wave of Belorussians making very good impressions at the international stage, had some success at U20s and last year's U18s.

1st #31. Nils Höglander
2nd #93. Case McCarthy
4th #124. Luke Toporowski
7th #186. Quinn Schmiemann
7th #198. Eric Ciccolini
7th #217. Vladimir Alistrov

Great draft y'all

Damn, Alistrov is a good pickup there.

196. Brendan Bowie (undrafted whoopsies)
201. Matthew Stienburg (+138!!) - purely picked as I went to the same High school, I’m not clairvoyant, as we see in 3 of the above 4 picks

So yeah, basically what I was expecting. Some weird picks, but I was completely running on fumes > the 4th round. Happy with my first 4, and obviously Stienburg/Attard.

27. Lassi Thomson (Drafted 19th OA - +8)
89. Sasha Mutala (Drafted 140th OA -51)
151. Arseny Gritsyuk (Drafted 129th +21)
182. Nikita Nesterenko (Drafted 172nd +10)
192. Jami Kranilla (Undrafted)

Very few picks, so happy with getting plusses on 3.. my other guy got drafted and who cares if you whiff on a 7th rounder, at least Kranilla produced in the USHL and is going to a NCAA Div 1 School.

#13: D, Victor Soderstrom 11th +2
#54: C, Matvey Guskov 149th - 95
#69: D, Jackson LaCombe 39th +30
#104: C, Oleg Zaitsev ND -178

#137: RW Radek Muzik ND -80
#168: LW Henry Rybinski 136th +32
#199: LW Matej Blumel 100th +99

I wasn't to happy with my draft seem I always pick the the rank player but didn't really like the player, ended up with 3 undrafted player, but since Blumel was my last pick last year and got pick this time around at 100th I think there still hope...

I was Winnipeg and only had 3 picks.

2nd Rd: #53: Kolyachnonok (taken #52 Florida) +1
4th Rd: #115: Reece Newkirk (taken #147 NYI - 5th rd.) -32
5th Rd: #146: Mikhail Abramov (taken #115 Tor - 4th rd.) +31

Basically, if I had taken Abramov with my 4th round pick and Newkirk with my 5th round pick, I would've had a near perfect score.
