Yikes.

You might've been better off asking someone who actually knows how to work on convertibles like that.

************... at this point I know.

I read up a good bit before tbh, and had heard it mention... Was hoping the more casual stretching bit by bit with zip ties would work and it was kinda... but its been days. So today I read more then a handful of stories of people installing tops, and almost everyone (literally, found one where it just closed) had to pull some shenanigans. Apparently you just have to stretch it to start, and its just intense, lol.

It is a real shame than Bruce chose Caitlyn as name and not Shirley.

The "Start calling Me Shirley" jokes would have written themselves

Remember the 10 hours of walking in NY lady?

This is a great Star Wars parody of it. If you haven't seen the original , watch it for the references.

It's not the country, it's the gun culture.

I've seen **** like this go on my entire life. And it will continue until we do something about the guns.

I am going to disagree here about the guns. If guns weren't available it would be homemade bombs or knifes, or something else. Besides, it is incredibly easy to get illegal guns. I have owned several in the past. (I am a good Boba now though)

When details emerge, this guy will likely be on anti-depressants. Most of these mass shooters end up being on them.

The other bigger socio-economic problem is that people are working harder than ever and ending up with less money in the bank every month.
People lash out in different ways. From 1870-WW1, it was "trendy to assassinate leaders" as a vehicle of social change. This was more in Europe, but look at the pattern here

James A. Garfield
Main article: Assassination of James A. Garfield
The assassination of James A. Garfield took place in Washington, D.C., at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 2, 1881

William McKinley
Main article: Assassination of William McKinley
The assassination of William McKinley took place at 4:07 p.m. on Friday, September 6, 1901

People are fed up and instead of fixing our problems, we are blaming each other

One could argue the gun culture exists because of the country the culture exists in. But that's a debate for another occasion.

I watched the video, truly horrifying. The cameraman never seen what hit him, which may be an enviable situation to what the reporter faced. Being in the media myself, this hits a little close to home, though I don't work (much) in video media. Truly a sad day. Any murders are sad for sure, but I guess it puts an extra level of depression on the situation when you can relate to the victims on a bit of a personal level from an occupational standpoint.

It's getting to the point where living life as a shut-in starts to seem like a good idea.

I don't agree. You will always have the people like the Unibomber but if you take away guns from everyone, you can't imply or argue that a sizeable number of those people would turn to building bombs or trying to stab people.

I partially understand the message that you hear spouted from the NRA about how guns don't kill people, people kill people. And that is true. It's also looking at the issue in a vacuum.

People are far less likely to kill people if they don't have an easy means to do so. I'd wager 99% of people have access to a large knife for example. Yet how many people get stabbed to death in comparison to the number of people being shot? It's because killing someone with a knife is far more difficult and personal, as well as risky, than using a gun. And with a gun you have a far greater chance of inflicting multiple injuries or deaths.

It's a very big problem that has many layers. Many things need to be done. The mental healthcare treatment in this country needs to be expanded, criminal background checks need to be expanded including a longer waiting list, and I would even like to see a graduated gun purchase program.

I also believe the vast majority of these arise from poor parenting.

There's so much hate in this country right now it's very depressing. I don't even want to leave my house some days. We need some true leaders.

This is my point. It is so much easier to create mass carnage just with a gun. It is much much more difficult to create such carnage with a knife.

The country's culture was created with guns. We needed them for the revolution, and that thinking has not changed in the past 400 years. It's not going to change. If there wasn't a serious movement to get rid of the guns after large losses of young life at our elementary schools, it's never going to happen.
