Yup.
They added the '300 Club' up there. My mom used to waitress.

They actually built the new building around the old one and stayed open the entire time. The guy that ran it when I was kid was named Gene. He was ALWAYS there.

I leave to head back to Cebu in 7 days!!!!!! :D

I am so excited to be able to go back and just relax and enjoy a vacation....

...Also super excited to see that girl I mentioned...we're still chatting via Messenger every day, Skyping once or twice a week. I get to spend the whole week with her. :)

Decided to give Hello Fresh a try, made our first meal tonight.

Was delicious, and nice for a change. Made grocery shopping easy this week, and will try some things I wouldn't ordinarily eat.

Recommend it to anyone who might be in a rut.

My sis in law got us signed up for Blue Apron. Should be fun and a learning experience for sure.

First time ever I didn't do any research or mock drafts before my league draft. I feel I did alright. Already added Todd Gurley via trade as well.
.

Still in Florida and still no studying. Will get a magazine in the airport on the flight home. Draft is tomorrow am. I generally have my wife pick my backup QB, 4th RB and 5th WR and may have her just pick the entire team :)

Wife and I are tag teaming a ten mile race, five each.

She's up first and I gave her the same lol talk that coach Riley gives Gordon Bombay before his penalty shot.

DAN SHAUGHNESSY
Off to college, but taking the home teams with them

Time to go. It’s the saddest weekend of the year for parents of 18-year-olds who are loading up the Volvo for that maiden trip to Syracuse/Ann Arbor/Ithaca/Name That College Town.

All the stuff is packed. Pillows and linens from Bed, Bath & Beyond. Foam pillowtop mattress. Hot plate. Bean bag chair. Pop-up hamper. Power strip. Xbox. Flat screen. Mini-fridge. Microwave. Laptop. Beer pong kit. Shower caddy. Flip-flops. Framed photos of the family dog. Posters. Winter coat.

Here is something else that’s making the trip . . . something that takes up no space in the family wagon: Our kids will go off to college carrying the love, care, and pride they have for the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, and Bruins.

This is the class of 2020. Young people with vision. It is a new generation of New Englanders; kids born just before the turn of the century, bathed in the sweet success of nine championships and nine Duck Boat parades between February 2002 and February 2015.

Our fortunate sons and daughters have been raised on success and the expectation of championships. So let’s remind them not to be too arrogant or harsh with their poor new roommates from Buffalo and Cleveland and Altoona, Pa.

Boy aint that the truth!

Our front room looks like Bed and Bath annex.

I literally just came in from going through a check with my boy on his (mine) 2003 Sorrento.

Jumper cables? Check.
First aid kit? Check.
Hat & gloves? Check.
Snow shovel , brush/scraper? Check.
All fluids and tires ok? Check.
Jack? Check.....but dont use it...thats why I got you AAA !

Next Friday we send the twins out. Ill most likely stay off line. It will be emotional. The Bride will be hysterical coming home. That may force me to break out the Capt Morgan or Jack Daniels.

I apologize in advance for what I may do.

My daughter (senior) is an RA at UMASS (Amherst) and I already moved her in this past Wednesday. Coincidentally, my son, who is a freshman at UMass selected a poly-sci RAP that is in the same building, two floors up from his sister. It will be nice because she can keep an eye on him...and we can also store his stuff in her room this week, so when he moves in Friday, it will not be the normal hellacious experience I have come to know.

No hysteria from the wife or I, we still have a 13 year old at home and I just dropped $500 on hockey equipment the last two days, with more to buy.

The joys of parenthood just never stop

What area are they in? My daughter was in Southwest freshman and sophomore year, but when she became an RA, she was moved to Orchard Hill. At first, she thought she would miss Southwest because of the "action", but as an RA, the lower key Orchard Hill was much quieter. It's a little out of the way, but she loves it there now. Hopefully, my son does as well. He's not a big partier, so chances are he will.

I think my time for him is Friday at 8:30am? He and my wife brought a bunch of stuff over today and stored it my daughter's room while I was at my USA Hockey official's seminar. Not sure which one of us had the better time?

Oh man, my uncle let me drive his 1968 Corvette. I've wanted to drive this thing for years. I had never driven a car like this before. So much fun.

Amtrak is retiring the Acela and will replace it with this.

It surprises me that you (USA) don't have more high speed trains, there's huge potential there, country is vast. You think that major cities will get such connections in foreseeable future? I've been reading about project in California. Are there any plans, is anybody talking about that?

The California project is way behind schedule and in danger of being scrapped.

Here in the Northeast they use the right of way that was built over 100 years ago.

Took a 3.5 hour nap today after my FF draft. Longest nap ever not sick lol.

Vacation was fantastic, was wonderful making up for wasted time the past few years. Life is pretty damn good, I'm truly blessed. The best things in life are always right in front of you.

Back to the grind tomorrow. Missed exercise, work not so much.
