Wow, that's so interesting and cool, thanks for sharing.

I rarely eat junk foor these days but lately I've been thinking that maybe one of these days I'd like to have a Bic Mac again. But then again, last time I did that (almost 10 years ago) it was pretty bad so maybe not worth it. But now, after seeing this, I'm thinking what I need to do is go check out this Calzone place instead cause I gotta say, this looks like it might be pretty darn tasty!

Great pics, and I love that the sauce is on the side. You do good advertising for your buddy! :thumbu::thumbu:

Big Mac Calzone is back next Wednesday at The Wren!!!

Anyone watching from the States? Worst commercial?

Hard Mode: no political ads.
Galaxy Mode (USA only): no insurance ads.

The Zach Braff-Donald Faison T-Mobile commercial was okay the first 50 times I saw it, but now 1500 times later I think 'Man, this is gigazesty.'

What about up north there? Commercials in Canada don't have the same production values but every other commercial isn't for Progressive, or State Farm, or Geico, or Allstate...
You'd be surprised how many large American corporations film their commercials in Canada. Partly for the quality of the crews, partly for the cost advantages. There's no discernable difference in production values, says one of my kids in the business, for major campaigns.

If you're comparing a commercial shot in Toronto with one done in Omaha, or comparing a New York commercial with one filmed in Gopher Crotch, SK, that's where you're gonna find different production values.

My buddy who works in the beer business just told me Costco in Ontario is going to start selling beer and coolers on Thursday. He said they expect it to be discounted cheaper than the beer store/LCBO.

Place is too busy as it is. I anticipate to see skids going out the door. Lots of skids

I wish I could but I just recently found out that my cholestorol levels are higher than they should be. I kind of resolved to bring those levels down, exercise more, drink less alcohol and lose some weight. If this was a month ago then I'd probably go but I'm on only my 3rd week of this lifestyle change so as much as I'd like to, it's too early to make this kind of exception. I think I need to stay on track until at least Christmas time, but we'll see.

I appreciate you thinking of me though, enjoy!!

There is a debate about cholesterol these days. Not medical advice but I think it runs along the lines of don't eat processed food and so many pastry dishes. Stick with meats and eggs are OK. Maybe something about cutting the coke and drinking more water.

The other debate I see around is if you take statins for cholesterol and also cut down on cholesterol foods, you can have unintended consequences cognitively possibly.

Lots of different views on cholesterol and statins on YouTube .

Here is what AI has to say.

When to Consider Medication:

High-risk individuals: Those with a history of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, or other conditions that increase their risk of future events.
Unresponsive to lifestyle changes: If dietary and exercise modifications do not result in sufficient cholesterol level reductions.
High LDL cholesterol levels: Individuals with LDL levels above 190 mg/dL may require medication to achieve target levels.

Conclusion:

Treating high cholesterol often involves a combination of lifestyle changes and medication. While lifestyle modifications can be effective for some, medication may be necessary for others, particularly those at high risk for cardiovascular events. It’s essential to work with a healthcare provider to determine the best approach for individual circumstances.

Not enough guitar porn here so ... picked up this Fender 60th Anniversary MIM strat a few weeks ago. It's 10 years old but it had basically been sitting in the guys basement for 10 years so it's in mint condition. I like it a lot, neck feels amazing, I was looking for an American made strat for some time but it was hard to find one that I really liked that was lightweight and then I saw this. Weighs just over 7.5 pounds and cost only 800 bucks when it's probably worth more like maybe 11-12, I'm very pleased.

I've never been a fan of gold hardware but I love the way this one looks. I think this just might be the one strat that I keep for as long as I live.

Nice!
I don't play guitar (piano when I was a kid) but always loved the sound of a fender strat, especially in the hands of Hendrix, who's concert recordings I used to seriously collect. EH just released a new box set with 3 cd's of various versions of songs from the Cry of Love era all recorded at Electric Ladyland in NY, along with a blu ray about the making of the studio, along with some suberb 5.1 remasters of the songs from Cry of Love/Rainbow Bridge.

I got two and two underneath arm on left hand. With one on top and one small on bottom for right hand! It's weird alright!! They were always there just over time got more distinct looking. Wonder what it means!

I eat 3 Brazil nuts a day, better results than taking statins, but be careful eating more than 3 can make you sick……..

I know a lot of people have said they hated this jersey, but I'd say it's my favourite one of all-time for the Leafs. Simple, sleek, and that shade of blue was just perfect.
