I paid $3.27 in Wickenburg, AZ. In Phoenix it is was up to $3.89. They are about 50 miles apart. My brother couldn't believe it. We were coming back from the old Vulture City Gold Mine. He must have been there before because he pointed out a bar and said "They have real cowboys in there!"
At Sam's Club in Milwaukee I paid $2.52, on Tuesday the 4th.
BTW, the new gold mine is running next door. You can't go over there. How do you mine anything when water is 5 or 10 miles away (in Wickenburg)?

Every year the Key Club has a Princess breakfast where the high school kids dress up as Disney characters. I have taken my daughter the last 4 years, but she woke up sick this morning and had to miss it. What a crappy weekend this is turning out to be

Hon, I love you but you're the guy who throws, like, two spare T-shirts and some basic toiletries into a tiny duffel bag and call that "good enough" for an extended weekend trip. Because g-ddamnit if you're going to poke at my trip packing habits I for damnsure should get to poke back.
And the only coordinated accessorizing I've ever seen you do is wearing a Preds baseball cap along with the sweater.

I have news.
Goalie Boy got married today. :-D He met the now Mrs GB when they were both teaching in Japan. I am very happy with his choice and look forward to showing them off when they're in from San Jose! I had to wait for his blessing before I posted but the ceremony was at high noon PDT.

Just had to say goodbye to my namesake aunt (z''l)
She'd been battling breast cancer for a year, and had actually beaten it around her last birthday (two days before Christmas), but two weeks after that she was still having troubles, went in for a checkup, and it was AML. She kept fighting and we all had her back, but then neutropenic fever came along, then double pneumonia, then kidney failure... and she'd specified that she didn't want to be on a dialysis machine for life, so we had the difficult conversation Sunday, and the time came today.
We gave the chaplain a challenge - she was Catholic, as is one of my uncles, but the other uncle is Buddhist and Papa and the rest of us are Jewish. He did very well.
I'm kind of at a loss. The last few months have been several different special kinds of hell (did I mention here I got more or less DOGEd a week and a half ago? plus other stuff I can't talk about here...) and this hasn't helped. But I'm still here, so there's that.
