Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah to everyone. With a 6 and 3 year old, we've been going strong since early this morning.
My wife has been dealing with sinus mess since last Friday. We tested her before we left ( she works for Vanderbilt) and everything came up negative. Luckily it wasn't something like Norovirus she had a couple of years ago.Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah to all! Unfortunately Covid has been our Grinch and affected 3/4 in our house. I am the 1/4 (so far).
They're not deathly ill, thank goodness, but they're miserable. I was banned from all holiday goings on in the event I'm Covid Adzy. On the one hand, sadness because I love Christmas with the family (and they make such good pies and crescent cookies!) but on the other hand I do get ALL the pigs in a blanket. Hope you all have a happy holiday! Lisa aka Adz
I would guess most people who are going will go down tonight and stay the night. I can't imagine there will be that much extra traffic just because of the bowl game. If anything, there will just be traffic because of holiday travelSo I just put two and two together. I'm going to be driving down to Birmingham to meet with friends for the New Year as I always do. The day I'm driving down is the 27th. There's, um, something taking place in Birmingham that day.
I think the timing is such that I won't be nearing the Nashville area (which my route takes me through) 'till an hour or so before kickoff and so should be a couple hours behind the resulting Nashville->Birmingham traffic rush. Probably. But still, oops.

I wonder if that was the same thing I had fall of (I think) 2021. It was just awful, but wasn't covid. We had wondered after the fact if it was possibly RSV but MAYBE it was the same norovirus she had. We didn't go to the doctor (it was pretty dicey at that point, if the doctor's office was actually open) and just toughed it out. I didn't go to games for 6 weeks! My wife has been dealing with sinus mess since last Friday. We tested her before we left ( she works for Vanderbilt) and everything came up negative. Hope everyone had a good Christmas. We get to head home Saturday. Only good thing about being up here, no blackout restrictions.
Well hers was the fact everything ran right through her for about 5-6 days. Other than that and the cramping that went along with it she didn't have much of anything else if I remember right. Maybe a fever.I wonder if that was the same thing I had fall of (I think) 2021. It was just awful, but wasn't covid. The drive worked out just fine. Heck, was listening to the game on the way down. Whew. Also, it’s been ages since Vandy has made a ball game. You know everybody’s gonna be renting a hotel and making a bit out of it the day before.
The Midwest leads the US in Covid cases at the moment.Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah to all! Unfortunately Covid has been our Grinch and affected 3/4 in our house. I am the 1/4 (so far).

I am sick but it isn't covid. Not sure what it is but the test came up negative. The Midwest leads the US in Covid cases at the moment.
I am still a Novid person, but our numbers are dwindling every year. It is about 25% for the US population, but for seniors, it is 43%.
Y'all going to get crushed with snow today?
Ice.... hoping the power stays on. I serviced my generator and got it running a couple of days ago but I really REALLY don't want to find out if my handiwork was fully effectiveY'all going to get crushed with snow today?
I'm lucky here that this system is going just south of us. Indianapolis is looking at 10-12" and 2" of ice.
We did just get 2" here, started in Thursday evening, and was supposed to be "up to an inch" but then it just kept blowing in from Lake Michigan until mid-day yesterday. Roads still clear though, so overall just a pretty scene and the kids got to go sledding!
This is already the fourth measurable snowfall for us this winter, very different from Middle TN!

Where are you? My son is in Kokomo and he's pissed that they aren't getting the big snow that was forecast, he wanted to play in the snow with my granddaughter
