All Google tells me is that you might be an infectious disease doctor? Apparently CRE is an especially antibiotic-resistant bacteria? :dunno:

It is, but AtlantaWhaler is not in the medical field...
Ha… CRE = commercial real estate. Definitely not much of a pro on the topic of bacteria. BBB is correct, I was at that Maggianos

I stopped at my usual Sam's Club. The price was $2.54. Other stations are at $2.79 or $2.89. The latter is 35 cents more a gallon!

Black mold?

Some people at my company work on cleaners to destroy biofilms.

Biology isn't my strong science, but a biofilm can be bacteria.

It's mostly around $2.65 on my side of town. Couple of places have it for less but only if you have their special card, which I do not.

This video popped up on my Facebook memories today...

That's amazing. Also, seeing Dennis K. Morgan is a blast from the past. I'm kind of convinced he put a curse on us when we brought in all the celebrities to do the anthem in the Cup Finals instead of him. Maybe we should see if we can get him to perform again and lift the curse?

Wow, Tom Callahan and the Grim Reaper! I remember when that happened, thought it was really cool. Wish both teams could have scored, just for their own experience.

I am preparing for a 7:30 parade. The parade will feel like 16°F.

What the hell is wrong with me?

Update: I had to pull the shoot because I was ready to get hypothermia. I layered up like a good boy have a sweating down to my nipples and it was 18° outside. That’s a recipe for hypothermia. The heart was swelling, but the head with the education in sports medicine said no.

Maybe the depression get it to me but early retirement f***ing sucks
I've loved mine except for the whole lack of income thing. I didn't think I would but honestly haven't missed anything but my coworkers...and since Covid sent us all home and we never really returned, I've seen them about as much!

I hope you can get some sort of help for your depression. I assume you're seeing a physician. Maybe a daylight lamp would help. You get winter so early the SAD probably kicks in quicker.

It’s more of the holiday and life. The assumption is oh you’re not working you can help us with this so I’m taking my mom to the hospital about three times a week along with my medical treatments that are usually in between those days not making a whole lot of money and it’s the end of the year and I’m being selfish and thinking about me And how my life with the shit in 15 years. And how the only person who could help me that a cancer last year and didn’t like me anyway.

But that’s just me rambling

Ramble away. Sometimes it helps!

My husband was responsible for his mother's care for the last years of her life after his dad passed. For six years he visited, took her to doctor's appointments, went to the grocery, listened while she went on her rants, etc. Example: She truly thought he had invented Covid so she'd have to miss church. For the last 2 years he was going every day either to her apartment or to the care center/hospital and this was while he was still working. 50 minute drive each way plus all the errands.

Caring for someone nonstop, particularly if the person is a bit extra, can really mess with your head. And then to be taking your own medical treatments on top of that, yeah, you're fragile. Please be sure to seek out help if you can possibly make the time.

Translation? :help::)
Wind Chill.

We once had -87 F Wind Chill in Milwaukee. The real air temperature was -26 F, but the wind was about 35 mph. That was my first winter here (1981-82). One week later, it went down to -25 F. I would take the battery out of my Torino and put it in the bottom of my linen closet until I needed it or it warmed up. I could do it in 5 minutes door to door.

I remember thinking "what have I done by moving here?". It turns out that type of winter happens about every 10 years. Last year was mild. In a normal winter we get 48 inches of snow. That first one piled the snow up to waist high. I was glad to live in an apartment, until my heating pipes froze and broke. I came home to the sound of carbide saws echoing down the hallway. It was my apartment at the end of the hall. The heat was great the rest of that awful winter!
