I know right. Wife had the day off too. She works at the PO. She said Carter may be next for another day off soon.
Do you have Jimmy in your dead pool?

Will there be a "one world currency" as biblically implied, though not stated? Maybe plastic or electronic.I hope that happens. Then I hope someone shoots the satellite out of the sky that keeps track of all this stuff and everyone has to start at 0 again. Can't wait to watch the rich people panic
You think you hate them? Was walking around the streets of my home city last Sunday in a futile attempt to do some Christmas shopping. It was the morning after the Detroit game and I had my Bruins hoodie on with the spoked B proudly on display when coming towards me was a girl with a Red Wings jumper on! We did a kinda double take as we passed each other and an initial look of "hey another NHL fan" quickly turned into a subtle smug grin on her part as she no doubt remembered the score from the night before.
I had two thoughts: a) I never thought I'd have this experience in Cork City, Ireland!! and b) man I think I hate the Red Wings now!

Between all this I’m still carrying the pager. I feel like I’m missing something. Not my mind, i know that’s gone. Might not be able to make it for the game in Tampa, which might be a good thing anyway

Rob Halford's Chistmas album, "Halford 3: Winter Songs"Going to do some crowd sourcing. What's the most inexplicable Christmas song you've ever heard? A song whose mere existence you can't understand.
Think something like the Twisted Sister Christmas album, or The Killers.
Disagree, this album is art.Rob Halford's Chistmas album, "Halford 3: Winter Songs"
I'm not saying I don't like it, I'm saying it's a total WTF why was this made?Disagree, this album is art.
I get what you're saying. I get why he did it though ($). I listened to it last week, and thought (most of ) it was pretty good.I'm not saying I don't like it, I'm saying it's a total WTF why was this made?
Much like Bad Religion's christmas album, it's amazing.

For my last gig (yeah, that one) it was a flipping nightmare. I must have averaged 2 pages a night, and it paid 100 bucks a week. It was only two weeks a year though.
Now im on a 3 man rotation, but it pays crazy and there have been times i end up carrying a pager for two weeks and never get called.
So i take the bad with the good. Gladly.
Do you actually carry a pager? I'm on call for IT support 24/7/365, with alternating paid status (meaning I have to actually be near the facility) 2 out of every 6 weeks, and I've not carried a pager in 10 years. And I work for a state agency that only recently ditched their 9-tracks!
No problem.Gah, already done. Would have been perfect though. Thanks man.
That’s intense scheduling. Damn. I have a physical pager yes, in my pocket at this moment. I have the option to route it to my phone but i hardly know how to use it, and i prefer to keep my phone on non-vibe silent 24/7. Plus the pager is louder and more aggressive lol. I can sleep through a phone alert. I can’t sleep through the pager going off.
Luckily i don’t have to be near an office. I live 40 miles from site and i had to make sure my pager was gonna be in range. My last job my pager was in and out all the time. Huge pain.
