That's all well and good, but despite there being more players on waivers more often and a few more claims, waivers worked better when it was mainly a beginning of the season thing. The cap makes it hard for most teams to find slots.

Still, once in a great while you get somebody good. I just miss the days where two or three solid depth guys would be waived just after pre-season. See Tim Taylor.

And one of the B’s biggest mistakes of the last 30 years…

Robert Lang

I remember but the late Pat Burns and Mr Lang mixed like Oil and water. Maybe that should be fire and Oil.....Lang was very disconnected and disinterested for the 3 whole games he played here. I don't think he was destined to be a Bruin for Lang Pun intended.

If Hellboy chokes this series away, no contender will want him for that $.
Well we aren’t a contender he would help get us into the playoffs and I hope he turns the page in Boston. Not sure I would do it. I still have hope in Swayman.

Dipietro and Bussi.

You know what, I can only think of one example where a team basically tossed out both of it's top 2 goaltenders in the off-season to gamble on complete unknowns.

It was the summer of '94 and the Bruins decided to turf Casey and Riendeau to try a tandem of Blaine Lacher (RIP) and Evgeni Ryabchkov.

NHL teams simply don't do this.

He was my target before they got Jokiharju. I don't know if Joker wants to stay, I also don't know if Fabbro is better... but I like his game.
Yea I’m down with him, and have been including him in mockups. Ideally I thought he would be more of a 3rd pair at 3.25/3.5 though so we could trade Peeke and improve the position without much extra cost, and still grab a 4d.

by listening to sweeney's media conference season ending :
this what he will end up with as far as free agent signings :
1. brock besser - will probably sign with boston
2. nick ehlers - chance will si;gn with boston
3. mitch marner - sweeney will try but marner will end up with another team. My guess utah

Actually, they still had Riendeau.

Really?

I missed that vibe altogether.
