Necas I would think gets a bag thrown at him by Colorado

He could easily take it

I would just as GM ask Pastrnak what he can add

And if he comes back, it HAS to be in a reduced role as a third liner, 15 minutes a night.
He’s going to be on second line getting his 20 minutes

Lock

The only thing is he Captain- Pastrnak will if Sacco

If it’s a new coach Marchand

Geekie -- Lindholm -- Pasta

Bennett -- Mittlestadt -- Boeser

Marchand -- Minten -- Lysell

Jeannot -- Kastelic -- Khusy

Zacha traded out, preferably packaged with something else for a top 4 RHD.

Sweeney framing Minten as the replacement for Charlie Coyle. Why do we need to "replace" Coyle at all? Why not have a scoring third line, a different look? And Minten only has 9 goals at the AHL level, complete unknown at this point.

Can't shake the feeling that Matt Poitras will be their top trade bait.

I’m a Zacha guy so hope not

Here's one...

Flyers need a center. Bruins need a RHD. Flyers need a goalie. Bruins have one thats complaining about ice time.

Bruins: Ristolainen 5.1 x 2 and Ivan Fedotov 3.275 x 1
Flyers: Mittelstadt 5.75 x 2 and Korpisalo 3 x 3

Risto was rumored to be on the block around the TDL so an offseason move isn't out of the question. Fedotov would battle with DiPietro as the backup but could be waived/sent down for depth.

Zadorov-Risto would cause some fits

Coyle was a pretty good scoring 3rd line centre no? Possession monster his first couple of seasons in Boston. Minten become another coyle would be fantastic.

Agreed, and that actually encourages me. It will be the right time to move him sometime between the draft and the middle of next year. He improved some this year but he still reminds me of many other smallish journeyman centers. From Dan Daoust, to Keith Acton, to Spooner to you name it. Sorry to go old school Habs, but that is who I see-at best. Acton had a good, long career and helped them get Bobby Smith at least. I hope Spooner and someone good can bring someone even close to that.

I like this. Poitras may force his way onto the team
Jeannot is a nice add and I love Bennett.

Grit, speed, skill, some toughness. Good forward group.

I think I would go into a coma upon impact if we overpaid on the Bennet (7+) and Boeser(8+) combo kick in the nads, AND kept Mittelstadt (5.75) but traded Zacha (4.75) this summer for a non top 6 guy. That would sincerely be the cherry on top of the “is Sweeney fireable?” Sundae for me. Boeser is the best out of all of them, but still could be a 3rd liner in 2/3 years. The other two already belong there.

The Bruins aren't going anywhere by bringing back the same ole same ole, crossing fingers, and hoping Pasta scores 70 goals. The team needs talent, speed, and a dose of swagger to get back to where we all want them to be unless you think you're patient enough to watch a 3 year rebuild during the prime years of Pasta.

Never said they would? Just not trying to build teams through free agency to that degree (especially after last summer). Next years class is much better to go that heavy this year, and some things are better left for trades. And for not wanting to “bring back the same ol’ ” aren’t you proposing bringing back Marchand? I love the guy but he’s too old/injured to give more than 4.5m without a solid postseason here even though he will get 6.5 on the open market. If it wasn’t all of these moves collectively, I’d be more on board. I too think we need more talent and speed and don’t want to waste Pasta years.

Mittelstadt: There is a reason why Colorado needed to add a 2nd AND Will Zellers for another 3C in Charlie Coyle (and felt strong enough also need Brock Nelson) instead of holding onto him. JAG. His cap hit is too high for us. The Coyle trade will be complete after we trade Mittelstadt. He will be blocking needed money for better players, Poitras development, and maybe your 1st round pick this year. Would rather pay extra for Bennett I think. I don’t think he’s terrible, just not for us. Get you a couple picks or move up in the draft and save the $.

Bennett: Never scored more than 51 in a season. Just played 11 mins last night. Is a very solid “over the edge” third line guy I’d love to have after the rest of my team is in order and contending. No interest in giving him the money he’s going to get, or 4/5year term for that matter. Not a line driver. The consolation prize after Marner, Tavares, Ehlers Boeser, Duchene of the free agents this summer.

Zacha: In a box of two way forwards who are useful and specialize in nothing, he is your best glue guy left and on good money. He’s too versatile for his return to be something tactful. I don’t think he’s amazing, and happy to move him for the right top6 help, but his value is obvious and think he’s a good cheap 2c/lw. I think you could trade him, a 2026 1st +/or the return you for trading Mittelstadt for something nice.

Boeser: solid 2nd line shooter with upside, but known to be streaky. Not a line driver. Likely overpay but has something we need most. Hopefully the money isn’t crazy because I think he’s our likely signing this summer honestly.

The spin of next years UFA class being better is not accurate. Most of the top players in that class will be resigned by their current clubs or be part of a sign and trade. Anybody really think the Oilers will let McDavid go to free agency? Eichel may be part of a sign and trade but he will be locked up before free agency, so at forward the choice will be Kevin Hayes, Charlie Coyle and Ander Lee. Only players with some issues to their games make it to UFA status. Otherwise you have the Boeser's, B?ennett's and sinmilar players to choose from.

I still think Marner and Bennett get resigned by Toronto and Florida.
