Boston Bruins Off Season Roster/ Cap Discussion

Khusnutdinov had some interesting things to say about the Bruins franchise on cleanout day earlier this week that I totally missed.

“So happy. Yeah, so happy,” he told reporters at Warrior Ice Arena on Thursday. “Perfect organization, good city.”

“Perfect. The guys helped me. Our coaches helped me,” he said. “Feels great here. It’s a little bit of a different system. It’s so fast. It’s good hockey. Good trainers and players which is everything. "

He kind of lays it on a little thick but I think the message speaks to how the Bruins franchise treats players on a human level.

I'd look at Adam Boqvist as a bargain bin option this summer. Right shot, can run a powerplay, and offers a different look if Lohrei is still a mess in the d zone.

I loved him as a prospect. So much potential in his early seasons. Big big fan.

Claimed off waivers from Panthers by the Islanders. I was bummed we didn't keep his brother last season who signed an extension with the Panthers already

Seemed like something bigger happened behind the scenes when he missed that meeting and was then subsequently removed from the playoff lineup after a couple decent showings. I had hope for him and really want to know the full story there.

This is pretty yikes to me regarding Rossi, poor kid. Obviously super skilled with 100 points in 2 seasons, but size matters. Gotta think they move him right? Not a guy I would prioritize, but I think plenty of fans here will be clamoring for him and maybe Sweeney as well. We already have enough middle 6 centers, but if 2 of Lindholm, Mittelstadt, Zacha, Poitras, Minten were gone I’d be thinking differently.

I'm eyeing Nils Lundkvist. He's been with Dallas for three years now and I have a feeling they probably aren't going to qualify him. Although he's a LH shot, Lian Bichsel is probably going to step up in his place.

I don’t agree with Hynes.
Rossi is a great example why 1 point in your first 21 NHL games shouldn’t mean you’ll never turn into a producer.

I wanted him re-signed because of his play and his speed. I did not know he missed a meeting.

I like 3/5's of Dan's off-season. Jeff's off-season doesn't have Marchand returning (Love the guy, but the team needs to move on from that old core) and has the Bruins going outside the org for a coach that can bring some different ideas to the club especially on the PP and more importantly, able to play a style that suits the roster instead of shoehorning the players into some sort of "Bruins Way."
