63 turned down more than that from Bruins already
The problem with the trade market is that we don't have a lot to trade that we can spare. What do we have that we can afford to give up that could get us a 30 goal scorer?I hope they investigate the trade market before committing 8m to a winger that is on the same tier as Jake DeBrusk.
He turned down more on a 2 year deal. I think he'll take less on a 3 year deal, and that's the AFP projected number for him.63 turned down more than that from Bruins already
Does anyone think he will sign for less ?

Time will tell.... not seeing it, not in BostonHe turned down more on a 2 year deal. I think he'll take less on a 3 year deal, and that's the AFP projected number for him.
More additions like Geekie please. Great way to round out the team.I wonder if there will be a surprise group of non-tendered players this year, or if that development was mostly due to the flat cap. I'd like to see them go after someone like that for 3RW, that's how we got Geekie, but I don't know if we'll actually see those types of guys hit the market.
If it is top 10 I believe it goes to Chicago in 2027, then the Bruins get a 1st on 2028, if it is not top 10, then the Bruins get the pick in 2027.If Florida advances is the 1st rounder a 2027 or 2028? I know they traded a 1st to Chicago too but not sure what year that one was
They should of just kept Jake.I hope they investigate the trade market before committing 8m to a winger that is on the same tier as Jake DeBrusk.
Marchment, McCann, Rossi, Kings may make some moves, etc. Trade route is definitely the way to go.I hope they investigate the trade market before committing 8m to a winger that is on the same tier as Jake DeBrusk.
Don’t forget Carlo RS dead cap…
You find Florida slow? It's not a team of super speedsters but they play a very up-tempo game. They swap 4th liners in and out and get max effort out of them. None of this set identity line crap.
I never said speed cures all. But you need some of it. IMO Bruins were the slowest team I watched all of last year. I'd flick over to other games with other teams and wonder if I was watching the same league. For all the flak Lysell gets here his speed carrying the puck through the neutral zone and pushing back defenders was a breath of fresh air. I felt they did get a bit faster post-deadline with Khusnutdinov and Lauko. The fastest team I've seen is Carolina and they've handled Washington well. Can they keep up this skating intensive style they employ at both ends?
Let's be honest about Colorado. They were one game away from putting out arguably the best team in the tournament. Too bad they shot themselves in the foot trading their horse for a few ponies. Necas is a nice player but he's no Rantanen.
I also think you overrating what Hampus will bring to the table. A year older and coming off a bad injury. He's a total question mark until we see otherwise.
I just can't justify basically rolling it back with the same forward template plus Boeser's 20 goals, which is all he is scoring here in a reduced roll. He won't get the looks or touches here he got in Vancouver sharing the ice with Hughes and the left-shot forwards they employed.
I like Ehlers if they are going forward hunting. I think he adds a dynamic they are missing in terms of playmaking and puck distribution plus being a left-shot. Isn't going to cure all but it's a start. Otherwise I'm fine standing pat this summer. This isn't going to be a overnight turnaround and I'm OK with that. I see next year as a transition year where you just hope a couple young guys pop and the group with a new coaching staff progress throughout the season. It's going to take time just getting new systems in place.
I agree, Florida plays a very up-tempo game, an in your face game, but they do it with slower players like Tkachuk and Reinhart who are very slow according to the tags in their jerseys. Even Bennett and Barkov are just middling in terms of speed. But they don't give you an inch and their system requires tons of skating, so it very much looks and feels like a team on the go.
I also agree the Bruins were very slow, and very slow to watch but again I think it's partly system. Zone defense = a lot of standing around, and starting from stationary. Florida's system, everyone is in motion. The Bruins also had some really slow players in the first half too, guys like Brazeau and Wahlstrom. After the deadline I thought we looked faster.
I like Hampus. I thought he was our best D before he got hurt last year. I don't know how the injury will affect him, if it will affect him, but I'd like to think playing with McAvoy will give him a boost. All things considered I think that should be a very strong top pair.
I like Ehlers too. I do wonder which is the smarter play, Marchand for 3 years or Ehlers for 7, especially as you project a couple years out and start to integrate players from these next two drafts.
Fwiw, I don't begrudge your opinion on that team I posted. It's the best I can come up with but admittedly, it's not that strong. It won't contend, and it will need everything to go right to make the playoffs... at the same time, I haven't seen a better option that feels realistic. "Losing" the draft lottery really hurt because I felt like we were going to get a player at 5 who could step into the lineup. Now, that's off the table, unless something crazy happens.
So my thinking is, we can't contend next year but what can we do? We can get back on track in terms of being a winning team. We can integrate some youth. We can integrate some new talent. We can try to build the culture back up so it's a good environment for young players to come into. Although, it's open for debate whether bringing Marchand back is good or bad for that last one.
I think the pick will move to a ‘27 first, but IF Florida trades their ‘26 first round pick, then Chicago gets the ‘27 pick and we bump to ‘28. If I understood that correctly. If Florida advances is the 1st rounder a 2027 or 2028? I know they traded a 1st to Chicago too but not sure what year that one was
same player but I'd say khustdinov represents this model and I agree it's a good won. Find young players who fill holes on your roster but are looking for space where they are. I'd say you have to do it. However you are also limited in how many contracts you can use on things like this. I mean Koepke in Tufte kind of came in under the same umbrella last year with far more limited returns.More additions like Geekie please. Great way to round out the team.
Sure... Still don't miss himCarlo has been fine.
It's in there.Don’t forget Carlo RS dead cap…

I keep telling everyone that they should keep this site on hand to keep track of of future/ traded picks:If it is top 10 I believe it goes to Chicago in 2027, then the Bruins get a 1st on 2028, if it is not top 10, then the Bruins get the pick in 2027.
The only question is, was Jake interested in staying ???They should of just kept Jake.

Bs need leadership. Once Brad was traded the only one on the ice with a letter was Pasta. That is just pathetic. Even in the pre-season games there are 3 players on the ice with letters.I agree, it's not a major shakeup, but I do think it addresses some of their issues up front. They needed goals, Boeser is a goal scorer. Yes, he's a complimentary piece and needs to be set up but both Marchand and Mittelstadt are playmakers. If that line gels they could be something. Boeser should help as the bumper on the PP too.
I don't think that team addresses the leadership issues from last year. I do think the defense would be much better with a settled down Zadorov. Jokiharju was also a big positive presence after the deadline. A Lindholm-McAvoy pair should be dominant and something we didn't get to see pre-deadline. Ultimately, what decides if that team is a bubble team or not will be the goaltending and if Swayman can return to his career norms.
Fwiw, I don't buy the fast chaotic argument. Nobody is faster than Colorado, and they are out in round 1. Nobody is slower than Florida and they're the reigning champs.
