Those who look for Necas, you should have recap of Stars-Avs series. This guy is just regular season player who gets lost when the postseason begins. I see a big and expensive bust in this guy.

Also, Sweeney should have gone all-in for Rantanen when he was in the market. If the price tag would have been anything except Pasta, it would have been a bargain buy.

I mean as Carolina found out, he had a list of places he wanted to play.

Oh man after seeing Rantanens 3rd period last night I was thinking the same thing that we should have made a strong offer for him. Tough to give up futures while you are trying to restock though.

I’m still higher on Poitras than most. Kid is finishing his 20 year old season and has 67 combined points in 106 pro games AHL/ NHL. Most guys in our system take 2 years juniors and 1 to 2 years AHL, so time wise he’s still a head of the curve. He has a ton of skill. He adds some more strength and experience I think he will be a real player. I think it would be a mistake to move him unless it’s for a star.

He did look like a boy against a man Rantanen

However didn’t Rantanen say he only had a few places to live and it was west

They better handle Poitras better going forward.

Well that’s gotta be the most satisfying feeling in the world for Rantanen, damn

Have any of our old guys looked good these playoffs? Haven’t seen a ton. I imagine Carlo is being dependable? Seems like Freddy and Marchand have been ok. Coyle was bad (as is tradition, I still can’t believe we got what we got for him)

He got yelled at ~ McKinnon should know Boston people don’t get yelled at and respond well

Maybe Nova Scotia that’s ok but I don’t know any adult from the South Shore who would respond positively
I don’t get the yelling. First McDavid, now MacKinnon. Maybe I’m out of touch but I can’t imagine Bergeron or Chara screaming at people. Saying hard words? Yes. Trying to motivate the group with ‘we have to be better?’ Yes. Throwing a tantrum? Screaming at a people? Seems like a quick way to lose the respect of your teammates.

Marchand has 4 assists in 5GP and is a +5. Carlo seems to have solidified Toronto's defense and has been playing well with Reilly. Toronto's speed helps with any struggles Carlo had this season with breakouts out of the defensive zone. It will be interesting to see how the Bruins do against Toronto and Carlo next season.

They get Marner in the fold and if things go well with this years 1sr rounder, we could be looking at a team with three 90+ point forwards, possibly as early as 27/28.

Hell, they could have two 115+ point guys and a 70 point guy by 26/27 if the kid progresses quickly.

While that doesn’t guarantee a cup, provided your defense and goaltending isn’t a disaster, it puts you in the mix.

Going all out for Marner is a no brainer.
I assume you’re talking about Misa for the 1st rounder? Would be great. Frondell is probably the next best bet though I’m not overly sure he’s a 90pointer, Hagens and Desnoyers seem to be 60-70 point ceilings at the moment.

Regardless, all in on Marner. Him and Pasta? You’d be up there with Leafs (Matthews and Nylander), Oilers (McDavid and Drai), and Avs (Mackinnon and Makar) for deadliest duos in the league. Also looks attractive to Eichel or McDavid if they opt not to resign next season knowing they’d have one of Pasta or Marner on their wing if we were to be so fortunate.

Have to feel for MacKinnon who scored 5 more pts than their 2nd leading goal scorer. Maybe MacKinnon expected more from Coyle.

Yelling at me basically flips me to wanting a piano to fall out a second floor window on you

McDavid seems like a dick to me as for McKinnon that’s disappointing. I would tune his ass right out.

Watching those games Carlo has been awful. Florida will eat him alive.

What's with the "yelling" stories? Is there a link? Was it shown on the broadcast? I watched the game last night but not closely (my attention isn't the same as if I'm watching the Bruins).
Did McKinnon take a shit-fit on someone?

Carlo has been as advertised with a good, speedy team. He still is too soft and not gifted with the puck, but pretty good.
