Sweeney mentioned he wants to upgrade scoring with wingers, hard to find
the right centreman in Free agency so i could see sweeney going after :
boeser, ehlers, marchand, as free agent wingers.
There’s not much out there. I really think he needs to hit the trade market of go all in on Marner.

RFA in knies, Peterka, Rossi, Voronkov and MacTavish all could be inticing though

Internet rumors about Minny not being enamored with Rossi. Any interest? What would it take?
#7 overall plus would be my guess. I don't know if Minnesota would be interested in any of our prospects though if they aren't thrilled with Rossi's size.

I’d take any of those RFA names, Vilardi too, but don’t enjoy the idea of giving up our own 2026 1st.

Rossi is interesting, but only makes sense if you move Poitras. Can’t have two undersized centers to that degree, and Rossi is a full 2 inches shorter than #51. Plus, Rossi already kinda is what you hope Poitras to be in a full 82 game season in terms of production. Rossi is an elite 3c, but worrisome 2c because his size complicates things against stronger matchups in postseason…doesn’t take much to bully him.

Voronkov is SWEET, but like Anaheim with McTavish, Columbus has money to spend. Peterka would be so good, and Buffalo is so dumb, you could probably offer Mittelstadt to return to them and get Byram too in the process 😂

I'm with you on Boeser. It's not that he's a bad player, but with Pasta, Geekie and Lindholm here, where is the fit? Boeser is a shooter with average-to-below-average footspeed, kind of like Geekie but without Geekie's physical presence (and chemistry with Pasta). All righties they won't use 4 right-handed forwards on the PP and if your giving Boeser an expensive long-term deal and not using him on PP 1, you won't get full value or close to it, on that deal.
Punt Lindholm off the first unit. Plop Boeser in as your bumper. Problem solved.

Use a lefty like Zacha or Marchand or Mittelstadt as the guy who slides off the net front and makes passes to the bumper.

Why am I the only one who wants Tavares? He still seems highly effective.
Depending on price and term, why not?
I’d rather go younger and take one of Knies or Marner from them, but I’m sure the Leafs are going to do their best to keep them and other teams will be coveting them as well.

I’m sure Sweeney will notify us if any those guys or other top FA players turns down a contract offer with the Bruins, given their long history and success as factors that will attract qualified players.

Where does Geekie go in this set-up?

Bruins need to be careful not to spend too much cap on similar players. I heard more than one TV analyst last season say too many of the Bruins players seem the same. They need a better range of skillsets, more speed, better zone entries, more guys who can carry the puck and make plays.

That's the danger of this off-season, spending for the sake of spending, but not really addressing the fatal flaws in this group.

By this time next week both Marchand and Monty could both be back here driving kids to school ~ maybe even get 18 in together

I have Brad 80 % back here

Misha Donskov 80 % as next head coach

Joe Sacco 80 % assistant coach

Let’s see how I did on July 4th
Marchand 30% . Nice thing is You can wear your Marchand Jersey when he returns to the Garden.

Donskov 90% . One hell of a Resume and was a finalist when Monty was hired. He’s the guy the Bruins are waiting on,

Sacco 80% You nailed it. A loyal soilder! The only way I don’t see it , is if he declined or Donskov wants his own staff.

I have a very good friend who’s in in that group of Pasta, Rask, Krug, Krejci ~ without saying to much Sacco as highly thought of as a person and coach. Pasta and him formed a bond 10 years ago when he was a teenager ~ Sacco from here and has had a lot of input. I watched him the day Joe took over and it was like he was playing for someone who meant something to him

This goes to others who will or could get numbers retired here

Most Bruins fans are completely Ignorant to this (ignorant is not stupid btw)

Also I keep reading no sniff other places ~ he’s been locked in here happy what he’s doing living where he wants and not upending his kids lives moving around

It’s likely although he wants job he could be on the staff of Donskov if he gets job - they are both adults and good humans

Not a ton of cap space. Decent amount of positions to fill. Plenty of uninspiring UFAs. Deadweight cap dump in Haula likely. Could see Noesen get moved potentially but he produces well for his cap hit. Best move to free up a little cash and get a return for them without dancing around clauses is Mercer, whom I would happily start a package with Poitras for.

Bruins need to pluck Nemec out of that mess.
